On November 8, Disney+ officially announced the confirmed cast members of the upcoming Star Wars series, “The Acolyte”. The announcement appeared on the official Instagram of Disney+ global as well as the regional social media accounts.
In the new Star Wars “The Acolyte” series, Lee Jung Jae joins a list of cast consisting of prominent names in the global filming industry.
Along with Lee Jung Jae, actors and actresses Amandla Stenberg (“The Hate U Give” – 2018), Manny Jacinto (“Nine Perfect Strangers” — 2021), Dafne Keen of BBC and HBO series “His Dark Materials” (2019), Jodie Turner-Smith (“Queen & Slim” – 2019), Rebecca Henderson (“Inventing Anna” – 2022), Charlie Barnett (“Russian Doll” – 2019), Dean-Charles Chapman (“1917” – 2019) and (“The King” – 2019) and Carrie Anne Moss of the “Matrix” series.
The series will take the setting of 100 years before “Star Wars: The Phantom Menace” (1999). It will center around the galaxy and the rise of the Dark Side.
Moreover, the upcoming series will be directed by Leslye Headland, who previously delivered an incredible masterpiece with “Bachelorette” (2012) and “Sleeping with Other People” (2015) movies.

Along with the official casting announcement for Star Wars “The Acolyte”, Lee Jung Jae will reportedly return to “Squid Game” Season 2. In addition to Lee Jung Jae, global stars Lee Byung Hun and Gong Yoo will possibly make appearances in “Squid Game” Season 2 as well.
Following the previously confirmed facts about “Squid Game” Season 2, Korean media reported a follow-up report from Just Jared last week. These reports stated that Lee Jung Jae, Lee Byung Hun, and Gong Yoo would most likely return as the main cast in “Squid Game” Season 2. Both media reported based on a previous statement from director Hwang Dong Hyuk.
