Former child actress and brilliant acting prodigy Lee Se Young will soon add another unique project to her list of series and tv shows.
Lee Se Young has previously transformed herself from a Joseon royalty in “The Red Sleeve” into a fierce lawyer in “The Law Cafe”. She is currently gearing up for a time-travel journey in “The Story of Park’s Marriage Contract”.
As if all the above projects aren’t interesting enough, brilliant prodigy Lee Se Young will soon entangle herself in a cross-culture love story. And she will reportedly be acting alongside prominent Japanese actor Sakaguchi Kentaro.
On July 25, an exclusive report by JTBC revealed that actress Lee Se Young is set to collaborate with Sakaguchi Kentaro in a new drama. This report is based on a statement of an entertainment industry insider to the media company.
According to the source, Lee Se Young and Sakaguchi Kentaro will star in a new drama based on the famous novel, “Things That Come After Love”.

“Things That Come After Love”: Storyline and Characters
So, what is Lee Se Young and Sakaguchi Kentaro’s new drama about, and what characters will they portray this time?
“Things That Come After Love” adapts the story of a novel with the same title published in 2005. This novel is a masterpiece by dual authors from different countries and backgrounds: Korean writer Gong Ji Young and Japanese writer Hitonari Tsuji.
While no further details are available regarding the new drama, the novel’s story revolves around the romance between the two main characters: a Japanese man named Jungo and a Korean woman named Hong I.
If the story follows the original novel, “Things That Come After Love” drama will portray the melodramatic love story of Hong I and Jungo. The main plot will revolve around their cross-culture romance and ways of adapting to their culture, language, and many differences.
Furthermore, the original novel was so well-received that it became a best-seller in both Korea and Japan. That is why expectations have continuously been rising on the synergy and chemistry Lee Se Young and Sakaguchi Kentaro will form in the new drama.

On top of everything, “Things That Come After Love” will be a small-screen debut for director Moon Hyun Sung. He was previously famous for his outstanding directing skills for “Seoul Vibe” and “The King’s Case Note” movies.
When is the Release Date?
Finally, when is the release date of Lee Se Young and Sakaguchi Kentaro’s new drama?
JTBC reported that “Things That Come After Love” will begin filming in Japan and South Korea early next year. However, Prain TPC stated that “Things That Come After Love” is simply one of the projects Lee See Young is currently considering. Therefore, the actress has yet to make any official decision.
