After the initial report in early May about the casting news of Lee Se Young and Na In Woo, MBC officially announced on June 13 that Lee Se Young from “The Red Sleeve” and Na In Woo from “Marry My Husband” will star as the main couple in their upcoming Korean romance drama, “Motel California.”

Storyline
The upcoming Korean romance drama series tells the story of a woman who spent her formative years in a quaint rural motel called “Motel California.” After twelve years, she returns to her hometown and rekindles a long-lost romance.
Lee Se Young as Ji Kang Hee
Ji Kang Hee was born to a Korean father and a mixed-race mother. She grew up in a place that was not just her home but also a motel named “Motel California.” Despite facing numerous challenges in her upbringing, she found love in her childhood friend, Cheon Yeon Soo.
At the age of 20, Ji Kang Hee left everything behind and moved to the city to pursue a career as an interior designer. Just before reaching the peak of her career, circumstances led her back to her hometown, where she now prepares to reunite with her first love, Cheon Yeon Soo, after twelve years.
Na In Woo as Cheon Yeon Soo
Cheon Yeon Soo is a devoted man who has only loved one woman. He works as a veterinarian and becomes the focus of the village’s attempts at matchmaking. He allows a false rumor to circulate about being in a serious relationship with a colleague. However, conflicts and misunderstandings arise when his first love, Ji Kang Hee, returns.
