Lee Se Young to Reportedly Lead in New Historical Drama Based on The Story of Park’s Marriage Contract Webtoon
Following her outstanding acting skills in various Kdramas, the former child actress Lee Se Young will reportedly showcase another excellent acting skill in a new historical drama.
On February 3, Korean media outlet Sports Chosun exclusively reported that The Red Sleeve cast, actress Lee Se Young, would be starring in a new Webtoon-based drama, The Story of Park’s Marriage Contract.
The upcoming new historical drama is adapted from The Story of Park’s Marriage Contract web novel by Go Nam Jung. The story centers on a Joseon girl in the 19th century who experiences time travel to modern times in 2021.
If the actress accepts the offer, she will play the female lead, Park Yeon Woo, in the upcoming historical drama. Expectations are high for Lee Se Young’s performance as Park Yeon Woo, a Joseon girl in the modern era.
What is the Korean Drama The Story of Park’s Marriage Contract About?
Park Yeon Woo is a virtuous girl who lives in the Joseon era. She believes that one day she will meet her destined love, just like in her favorite novel. But unfortunately, her husband, Tae Ha, tragically passed away on the first night of their wedding. Moreover, she didn’t have time to grieve her husband’s death since she was mysteriously abducted and thrown into a well.
She then finds herself in modern times, 200 years later from her original period. And the man who saved her looks just like her late husband, but he is a modern man from Seoul in 2021!
Will she return to Joseon safely and find her fated love?
The Story of Park’s Marriage Contract Cast and Release Date
The MBC’s upcoming historical drama will be broadcast in the second half of this year. Currently, there is no further information regarding other casts for the forthcoming drama. However, the filming will start after the casting is finalized.
