Lee Se Young in Talks to Star in New K-Drama “The Remarried Empress”
According to an exclusive report by JTBC on March 7, actress Lee Se Young will star in the new drama based on the popular Webtoon “The Remarried Empress.”
In response to the report, Prain TPC, the actress’s agency, conveyed,
“It is one of the projects she has received an offer for.”

The drama will be directed by director Jo Soo Won, known for “I Can Hear Your Voice” and “Pinnochio.” Additionally, Studio N will handle the production.
Moreover, it will feature actors Shin Min Ah and Lee Jong Suk in lead roles, while Ju Ji Hoon is still reviewing the offer.
“The Remarried Empress”
“The Remarried Empress” is an adaptation of Alphatart’s popular romance fantasy web novel, which was published on Naver and serialized on Webtoon.
The story follows Navier, the flawless empress of the Eastern Empire. One day, her husband, Sovieshu, brings a poor young girl he encounters while hunting. He then makes her his concubine in the imperial palace.
When the emperor asks for a divorce to elevate his concubine to be his new empress, Navier accepts it without hesitation. However, she determined to remain an empress, albeit in another place. So, she asks permission for remarriage — and marry the emperor of the Western Empire. That’s when the story unfolds.
Shin Min Ah will portray Empress Navier, while Lee Jong Suk will play Heinrey, the Western Emperor. Ju Ji Hoon has been offered the role of the Eastern Emperor, Seovieshu.
If Lee Se Young accepts the offer, she will portray Rashta Isqua, a runaway slave whose charm captivates Sovieshu, the Eastern Emperor, leading him to take her as his concubine.
After playing protagonists in many romantic dramas, this role challenges Lee Se Young in a new way. Kdrama and webtoon fans are eager to see how she brings Rashta to life with her acting skills.
