Series Mania is an annual French television festival that started in 2010. It is an event where directors, writers, and viewers select the year’s best international television drama series. For this year, the 11th Annual Series Mania 2021 will take place in Lille, France, from August 26 to September 2, 2021.
“Mouse” will be the first Korean drama that earns nomination at the 11th Annual Series Mania 2021. The thriller series will compete with other prominent international series for the International Panorama category.
Frederic Lavigne, artistic director of Series Mania, lauded “Mouse” for “keeping viewers immersed with its endless plot twists” and “the actors’ ability to play a diverse range of personalities.” He added that “Mouse” proved Korean television’s brilliance with its engaging plot and ethical stance on ethical issues.
“With this nomination, we are happy to present ‘Mouse’ not just to French audiences but also content industry officials worldwide. We intend to devote more efforts into overseas sales and marketing to raise recognition of Korean content in various genres.”

tvN’s “Mouse” is helmed by director Choi Joon Bae and Kang Cheol Woo, written by writer Choi Ran. “Mouse” also marks the comeback of Lee Seung Gi on a small screen. He also aced his first antihero character as Jeong Ba-reum.
Korean drama series “Mouse,” starring actor Lee Seung-gi, follows Jeong Ba-reum, a kind rookie police officer who is facing a psychopathic serial killer. The series brought the viewers on edge with a mystery-thriller focusing around an intense chase of the vicious psychopathic serial killer with endless plot twists.
The series “Mouse” has a total of 20 episodes broadcasted on March-May 2021. The final episode ended with the highest viewership rating of 6.7%.
