Lee Soo Hyuk to Debut First Leading Character in New Drama, “S Line”
South Korea’s prominent model and rising actor Lee Soo Hyuk has gained skyrocketing fame after his recent role as the most charismatic grim reaper in “Tomorrow”. However, true Kdrama enthusiasts must have acknowledged his incredible acting performances in various roles since his small-screen debut in 2011.
As one of South Korea’s top-tier models, Lee Soo Hyuk not only possesses divine and charismatic looks but also excels in character portrayal.
In 2015, Lee Soo Hyuk delivered a breathtaking role as a villain vampire, matching the performance of veteran actor Lee Joon Gi in “The Scholar Who Walks the Night”. Then, he portrayed a different charm in light romance dramas such as “Lucky Romance” and “Sweet Stranger and Me”.
However, it was after his return from military service that Lee Soo Hyuk received widespread acclaim for his intense role in “Born Again”. He also made viewers swoon over his charming transformation as “Doom At Your Service” second lead.
Today, Lee Soo Hyuk will soon be able to showcase his talents further as he will debut the first-ever lead character in a new webtoon-adaptation drama!
According to an exclusive report by iMBC Entertainment on August 11, Lee Soo Hyuk has been selected as the male lead for the new drama, “S-Line”. It is a new drama based on a webtoon with the same title by author Little Bee that tells the realistic story of human relationships.
“S Line”: Another Webtoon-Based Drama After “Tomorrow”
Throughout his acting career, Lee Soo Hyuk has been famous for his roles in various webtoon-adaptation dramas, including “The Scholar Who Walks the Night” and “Tomorrow”. His unworldly visual and outstanding character portrayal resulted in a wonderful transformation from a 2D to real-life character.
This time, Lee Soo Hyuk will finally become the center of focus with his lead character debut in another new webtoon-based drama, “S Line”.
If the drama adapts the original plot of the webtoon, “S Line” will tell the stories of the people connected in different kinds of relationships. In the story, each person possesses a visible red line on top of their head. These red lines lead a connection to someone with a relationship with them.
The original webtoon is also famous for its ambiguous senses, including Sex Line, Social Line, Society Line, and Secret Line. That is because the author used the term as a dark joke about people with timeless physical relationships.
This webtoon has gained high praise for its incredible portrayals of different social situations that happen in daily life.
What Character Will Lee Soo Hyuk Portray in the New Drama?
Unfortunately, the production team has yet to reveal the character that Lee Soo Hyuk portrays in this new drama. However, viewers notice that the “S Line” storyline will take the form of omnibus.
