By attending BLACKPINK Lisa’s “Crazy Horse” show performance in Paris, the two Chinese celebrities have violated this rule.
“Entertainers are prohibited from the following:
4. Organize, participate, or promote illegal activities, such as those related to obscene and explicit content…”

So, what’s the issue behind Lisa and her “Crazy Horse” controversy?
According to netizens, the issue behind BLACKPINK Lisa’s “Crazy Horse” controversy doesn’t necessarily lie in the nakedness of the show. Instead, it was due to Lisa’s involvement in the show itself.
Lisa has been rising to the top names of global celebrities as a member of the Kpop idol group BLACKPINK. Her involvement in the show clashes with the expected image of what Kpop idols should be.
Indeed, Lisa may not have been completely naked in the show. However, the action of stripping one’s clothes is already considered obscene and inappropriate. This is further problematic considering her image as a Kpop idol.
Promoting Women’s Rights and Freedom
Meanwhile, global fans came to Lisa’s defense. According to some fans, by participating in such performances, BLACKPINK Lisa is setting an example in promoting women’s rights and freedom to express themselves.
Previously, the venue’s general brand director, Andrée Deissenberg, explained the importance and value of The Crazy Horse show. According to the director, BLACKPINK Lisa has promoted the value of women’s pride in being free, curious, and confident by performing as a guest in the show.
“Since Crazy Horse stands as a symbol for women who take pride in being free, curious, and self-assured, I believe that Lisa, by choosing to embrace this, is promoting similar qualities.”
Andrée Deissenberg.
Therefore, despite the massive controversy, BLACKPINK Lisa is simply making decisions she deems best for her. BLACKPINK Lisa seemed happy and proud of her performance. Therefore, fans vowed to support her journey of stepping out of her comfort zone.
I had the opportunity and the fortune of seeing Lisa several times in these two years and tonight she had the same if not brighter light in her eyes that she usually has when she is on stage and performing, she was very happy, the biggest smile on her face 😭

She performed 3 solos & some parts added to the group. She looked so happy to be performing and killed every moment. The screams she got were well deserved, so I hope she felt the love and support. Each outfit got more revealing,…
