LOONA, 2021 KOCIS Honorary Ambassadors
On May 10, Minister of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, Hwang Hee, officially selected LOONA as the new honorary ambassadors at the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Seoul.
The 12-member girl group should participate in KOCIS events to promote South Korea’s global image and pop culture content.
Meet 2021 KOCIS ambassadors, LOONA
In the speech delivered by LOONA, they said, “We’re honored to be KOCIS’s new ambassadors and feel more honored that the Minister of Culture himself appointed us. We will work hard as ambassadors to promote Kpop and Korea.”
The first female honorary ambassadors
Since 2014, the South Korean government agency has had celebrity representatives, including BTS, EXO, Winner, Stray Kids, and ATEEZ. In 2019, KOCIS made the stars have more role as honorary ambassadors.
For this year, LOONA is the first female Kpop group appointed as honorary ambassadors. Haseul, Vivi, Yves, JinSoul, Kim Lip, Chuu, Heejin, Hyunjin, Go Won, Choerry, Olivia Hye, and Yeojin will work with KOCIS to promote Kpop, Hallyu, and all things Korean worldwide.
Let us wait and see LOONA’s PR activities as KOCIS honorary ambassadors.
