1. Choi Yena (January 17, 2022)
Choi Yena started her career by joining a girl group survival show, “Produce 48,” in 2018. She then debuted with her girl group Iz*One in October 2018. Unfortunately, the group officially disbanded on April 29, 2021. Choi Yena debuted as a solo singer with the EP “Smiley” on January 17, 2022.
2. Yuju (January 18, 2022)
Yuju is a former member of the South Korean girl group GFriend. On January 15, 2015, the group debuted with six members and disbanded on May 22, 2021. After the group disbandment, she left the previous agency Source Music and signed an exclusive contract with Konnect Entertainment. Yuju made her solo debut on January 18, 2022, with a mini-album “Rec.”
3. Jung Ye In (January 25, 2022)
Jung Ye In is one of the Kpop girl group Lovelyz’s former members who were not renewing her contract with Woolim Entertainment. After leaving her previous agency, Jung Ye In joined Sublime Artist Agency and made her solo debut with a digital single, “Plus n Minus,” on January 25, 2022.
4. Wonpil (February 7, 2022)
Wonpil is a member of the Kpop boy group Day6. He is the third member of Day6 who made a solo debut after Young K and Dowoon. Wonpil made his solo debut on February 7, 2022, by releasing a solo debut album “Pilmography.”
5. Kihyun (March 15, 2022)
Starting from Mnet’s survival show “No Mercy” in 2014, Kihyun was selected as one of the vocalists in the Kpop boy group Monsta X, which debuted on May 14, 2015. Kihyun made his solo debut with his single album called “Voyager” on March 15, 2022.
6. Choa (April 9, 2022)
Choa debuted with AOA in 2012 but left the group in 2017 due to mental health issues. Her contract with FNC Entertainment expired in 2019, and she was on hiatus from the entertainment world afterward. However, Choa resumed singing activities by signing a contract with Great M Entertainment in 2020. She released a couple of original soundtracks, “Here I Am” for the OST “To All the Guys Who Loved Me” and “Thorn” for the OST for “Lovestruck in the City.” And this year, Choa has finally made her long-awaited solo debut with the single “Yesterday.”
7. Miyeon (April 27, 2022)
Miyeon, (G) I-DLE’s main vocalist, made her much-awaited solo debut on April 27, 2022. She released her first solo mini-album, “MY,” which contained six songs and the title track, “Drive.”
8. Yerin (May 18, 2022)
Yerin is a former member of GFRIEND, which debuted in 2015 and disbanded in May 2021. Yerin made her solo debut under Sublime Artist Agency with her first mini-album, “ARIA,” with the title track with the same name.
9. Nayeon (June 24, 2022)
Nayeon is one of the Kpop girl group TWICE members, which debuted on October 20, 2015. She will release her first solo mini-album, “IM NAYEON,” on June 24, 2022, marking the first solo project of TWICE members.
