BTS Meal Ice Cream

After the release of McD BTS Meal Indonesia, an Indonesian famous TikTok celebrity, Sisca Kohl (@siscakohl), created an unusual video about BTS Meal. In the video, Sisca and her sister had bought 40 sets of the newly launched menu and made an ice cream using uncommon ingredients. Also, she put yellow and purple colors for the ice cream. “Yellow for McDonald’s and Purple for BTS. It’s so pretty!” She said.

Furthermore, Sisca Kohl didn’t use all the BTS Meal she had bought, “I didn’t buy too much so my ARMY friends can still get them. I only use several of these, and I will share the remaining BTS Meal with my ARMY friends.”

Regarding the ice cream, Sisca said that the yellow Cajun ice cream tasted a little bit hot and savory from the mayonnaise. On the other hand, the purple Sweet Chili tasted like sweet caramel. They both liked them so much.

Trending Sales of BTS Meal Packaging

The release of McD BTS Meal Indonesia also resulted in trending sales of the BTS Meal, but only the packaging without the meal. Reports mentioned that various Indonesian sellers sold BTS Meal Indonesia packaging at various prices. The lowest price found on the internet was around 50,000 IDR (± 3.5 USD), and the highest price was around 599,000 IDR (± 42 USD) for each package set.

Donations for Indonesian Online Taxi Drivers from BTS ARMY Indonesia

Due to the massive interest in the McDonald’s BTS Meal, the offline outlets of McDonald’s Indonesia were extremely crowded.

Most of the queues were full of Indonesian online taxi drivers who were tasked to buy the BTS Meal for their customers. Moreover, this long queue takes from 15 minutes to hours of waiting. Therefore, the online taxi drivers were exhausted from waiting. On top of that, it would be impossible for them to take more orders.

With those circumstances in mind, BTS ARMY Indonesia tried to cheer up the drivers and thank them for their efforts. One BTS ARMY Indonesia community presented the drivers with a box of chocolate bars for the drivers with a thank you note, “Dear Drivers, Thank you for waiting in line for our orders.”

In addition to the nice little deed, other BTS ARMY Indonesia communities created links via Kitabisa.com, an online crowdfunding platform. BTS ARMY Indonesia created these links to gather donations for food supplies for the online taxi drivers in BTS Meal and BTS Anniversary events.
