The COMPLETE List of Melon Music Awards (MMA) 2022 Nominees

The Melon Music Awards (MMA) 2022 nominees have been announced, and voting has begun until November 18.

On November 4, the Melon Music Awards announced this year’s award event nominees. This year’s awards were only open to musicians who released songs between November 8, 2021, and November 3, 2022.

Kakao Bank will present the ‘2022 MMA,’ its first in-person event in three years since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. The 14th annual awards ceremony will occur on November 26 at 6 p.m. KST at Seoul’s Gocheok Sky Dome.

Voting

Eligible people who can vote on the official website of Melon Music Awards are users with verified accounts on Melon and people who lives in South Korea and has a Kakao ID.

The voting is already open until November 18, 2022. And it’s available for Melon’s Top 10 awards, which will be given to ten artists. Moreover, it will also automatically count for the Artist of the Year award.

There are also eight additional awards to vote for, including Album of the Year and Best Song of the Year. It will be determined according to the same 60-20-20 formula. Meanwhile, the Netizen Popularity Award will be determined based on 40 percent of Melon’s downloads and streaming and 60 percent of the votes.

In addition, the awards that are not included in the online voting “Music Video of the Year” and “Record of the Year.” Instead, the awards will be determined entirely based on the jury’s judgment and their Melon’s performance.
