As the 2021 Critics Choice Award was held virtually and broadcast on March 7 on The C.W. Alan Kim, the young actor who portrayed David in Korean-American immigrant drama Minari has won the Critics Choice Awards for the Best Young Actor.
After hearing his name announced as the winner of the Critics Choice Awards for the Best Young Actor/Actress, he appeared on his tiny tuxedo and began to thank the Critics Choice who voted. But then he felt overwhelmed and burst into tears while trying to thank his family.
He said, “oh my goodness, I’m crying.” He then continued to thank the cast and crew members while patting his chest to calm himself. Furthermore, he adding, “I hope I will be in another movie soon.” He then burst into tears and asked himself, “Is this a dream? Hope it’s not a dream” while pinching his chubby cheeks.
