Mnet Queendom New Spin-off: Queendom Puzzle
On April 10, SPOTV News reported that Mnet will announce the Queendom Puzzle lineup in May, while the first show will be on the air in June. In addition, the cable network Mnet also released the previews of its upcoming Kpop competition show, Queendom Puzzle.
Queendom Puzzle is the spin-off program of Queendom, a Kpop competition show for female idols and solo artists. It is a series of survival program shows where female solo artists and Kpop girl groups cover other artists’/idols’ songs with new styles and new choreography that are different from the original.
Some of the Kpop girl groups featured in previous series include MAMAMOO, Kep1er, WJSN, Hyolyn, Park Bom, (G) I-DLE, and more.
Unlike the previous program, the upcoming competition show will have solo artists and various members from different Kpop girl groups as the participants.
Furthermore, the girl group members and solo artists will show new concept that is different than previous ones. The show will combine the individual Kpop girl group members and solo artists into various sub-units.
In addition, viewers can anticipate the best performances from each new girl group combination until the last episode, where the winner will debut as a new girl group.
The production team of show stated, “It will be a time to newly rediscover the uniqueness and charm of each existing girl group member.” They also raised expectations by adding, “We are planning to announce the lineup of the participating artists in May, which will be a surprise to everyone.”
Teaser Video
The teaser video featured jumbled letters, “IURP WZHQWB HLJKW WR VHYHQ.” It led many to speculate that this was a possible anagram-like clue to the identity of the participants.
