On July 12 local time, Stray Kids completed their updated schedule for MANIAC Tour in Oakland. While Stray Kids performance was just as magnificent as usual, there was one particular situation that alarmed fans: a bandage wrapped around Hyunjin’s right hand. Besides, Hyunjin seemed to be in pain even though he tried hard to hide it from the audience.

A while after the news about Hyunjin’s bandaged hand circulated on social media, JYP Entertainment explained what really happened to Hyunjin and his right hand.
On July 14 KST, JYP Entertainment released an official statement about Stray Kids Hyunjin injury during MANIAC World Tour in the US. According to the statement, Hyunjin hurt his hand right before the concert in Oakland. He bumped his right hand against a door, which then resulted in a minor injury.
During the MANIAC Tour in Oakland, Stray Kids Hyunjin managed to join the performance after receiving first aid from medical staff. However, the medical professional still suggested that Hyunjin refrains from making extreme movements.
That is why they decided to limit Hyunjin’s movements for the upcoming performances to ensure that he recovers his health.

Finally, one of the most iconic moments during Stray Kids MANIAC Oakland Tour was when Hyunjin decided to conceal his injured hand with more powerful choreography. In Stray Kids “God’s Menu” there was a moment in the choreography when Hyujin had to do an extreme movement with his hand for the “du du du” part.
But because he couldn’t do it with his injured hand, Hyunjin decided to do a different choreography, which was a LOT more powerful.
