More backlash and criticism are pouring in against BTS Suga from both the international and Korean public. That is because a new CCTV video footage emerged, revealing more lies BTS Suga and BIGHIT stated in their official written apology. Therefore, the public is now condemning BTS Suga for not only his irresponsible mistakes but also all the repeated lies. Korean netizens believe that all the lies are only to downplay the severity of BTS Suga DUI drunk driving scandal. Dive deep into the full report below.
UPDATE August 15: New authentic CCTV footage of BTS Suga released, proving the rapper has never lied in his statement. Yet, Yonhap News remains silent on their fake CCTV release.
New CCTV Video Footage Reveals MORE Lies in BTS Suga and BIGHIT’s Statement on DUI Drunk Driving Scandal
BTS Suga has allegedly told more than just one single lie in his apology statement for the DUI drunk driving scandal.
Previously, the CCTV video from JTBC News revealed that BTS Suga drove through a long distance and crowded streets using an electric scooter. This entirely contradicted his statement, saying that he was driving an electric kickboard in a short distance.
Today, a new CCTV video footage reveals that those are not the only lies BTS Suga and BIGHIT delivered.
On August 13, Korean media outlet Yonhap News TV posted a new CCTV footage from BTS Suga DUI drunk driving scandal. The new CCTV video showed that BTS Suga had not only driven on a crowded street. Instead, he was also speeding down the sidewalk when he collided with a curb and fell over.
Shortly after, police officers who were on patrol found BTS Suga and requested backup assistance from a nearby police station.
Within less than 10 minutes, a patrol car arrived at the scene, and they conducted a breathalyzer test on the spot. This test then revealed his BAC level of 0.227%, indicating a severe intoxication far the legal limit for license revocation, which is 0.08%.
Due to Suga’s heavily intoxicated state, the police couldn’t conduct a thorough investigation. After administering the breathalyzer test, they allowed him to return home to sober up. They also did not confiscate Suga’s electric scooter.
Today, the police have verified Suga’s final travel distance and route and are coordinating with his representatives to schedule a summons for further investigation.
Korean Public Furious Due to the Continuous Lies to Downplay Suga’s DUI Drunk Driving Scandal
After the new CCTV video went public, Korean netizens reacted with more backlash and criticism for the continuous lies BTS Suga and BIGHIT stated to allegedly downplay the DUI drunk driving scandal.
Korean netizen pointed out inconsistencies in his first statement. He said he had parked in front of his house and fell over while trying to park.
“So, I ended up breaking traffic rules. I parked in front of my home’s main gate, and in the process, I fell over on my own. The police were nearby, and after a breathalyzer test, my license got revoked, and I had to pay a fine.”
BTS Suga.
However, the new CCTV video footage showed that BTS Suga actually fell down on the main road, not in front of his house, as he claimed.
Speeding on the Crowded Sidewalk
Not to mention that at the time, BTS Suga was apparently speeding down his electric scooter through a crowded sidewalk. Due to his heavily intoxicated state, it had posed more danger to those around him.
As a result, more backlash and criticism are pouring in against BTS Suga in the Korean online community.
- “That’s truly disgraceful, drunk driving a scooter on the sidewalk, haha.”
- “Has he lost his mind? He’s practically an attempted mass murderer.”
- “So he ended up crashing into the bushes…? His image is completely ruined, haha.”
- “Speeding on the sidewalk, has he gone mad?”
- “Return the National Medal.”
- “Drunkenly speeding on a scooter on the sidewalk, wow. The fact that his apology statement is all lies is the most pathetic part.”
- “It’s annoying enough when people ride e-scooters, but why would he drive a scooter on the sidewalk? It’s really lucky that he didn’t hit a pedestrian.”
- “He’s truly lost it. What if he had hit someone?”
- “What’s the difference between him and Kim Sae Ron?”
- “What if there had been a child in front of him… ;; ugh”
- “Did he think the CCTV wouldn’t be released? He told so many lies. Tsk tsk. I heard Jungkook’s CCTV footage wasn’t released, so why did he do this? Sigh.”
- “Riding a scooter on the sidewalk while drunk—he’s really crazy, haha, wow…”
- “Wow… it’s so disgraceful, he was leaning on the police and complaining of knee pain after that?”
- “Drunk driving on the sidewalk, has he lost his mind? What was he thinking while writing that BS statement about just having one beer? Shouldn’t he be charged with deception and contempt?”
Unclear Intention
As of today, nothing is confirmed whether BTS Suga has really lied to downplay his DUI drunk driving scandal or it was simply because he couldn’t remember.
After all, having a 0.227% BAC level means you are so heavily intoxicated that you don’t have any memories during the moment you are drunk. Hence, it was basically impossible for BTS Suga to remember every detail of the incident.
But all the facts do point out that BTS Suga was driving his electric scooter through a crowded street and sidewalk full of pedestrians with 0.227% BAC level.

Another footage is released!
>>KPop viscious hate is like none I've ever experienced here in the States. Idols have died over bully- ing + unconfirmed, spiteful misinformation, like kpoppost...Suga himself released a statement that he's ADMITTED that he's deeply sorry for his BAD decision to ride home intoxicated, that he'd never do it again, that he takes FULL responsibility, that he'll take the punishment given, for this, his 1st offense... That he was wrong to assume it was doable at 500m away from his home..He rode standing up, almost at a pace of people walking, he passed policemen driving on the sidewalk, like a kickboard scooter and they did not react at all..Suga also didn't realize that an added seat put it in an electric scooter catego- ry: harsher offensive (police had to look up the difference)...Right after he passed them, he made a too sharp left turn by his gate + fell over, quickly stood up + bent over to retrieve his helmet that popped off, when those policeman (turned when he fell), approached him, realized he was drunk + gave him a breathalyzer test...Hybe thought he rode a kickboard scooter, but corrected it a little later to electric scooter, per police...If this happened to you or me, we'd also feel very sorry + wrong, but KPop media can be nasty + unforgiving to Idols, who apparently, aren't allowed to make mistakes + be human... >Why don't you change that narrative + be the "gossip" media with a HEART,?!.. He admitted it, will accept his punishment...period! What do haters want..Blood??...Some of the kindest Idols>Industry... >>>>> Need NOOOOO Reply.👌..
