New Korean Drama & Special Variety Show “The Potato Lab”

“The Potato Lab” Exciting Plot
Previously known as “The Potato Research Institute,” the upcoming rom-com drama “The Potato Lab” is a fun romantic comedy-drama set in a potato research institute in the countryside that is at risk of disappearing. The story follows the love journey between Kim Mi Kyeong and So Baek Ho.
Kim Mi Kyeong is an easygoing researcher who devoted her life to potato research, while So Baek H is a cold and strict Director of Organizational Reform. When they meet by chance for the first time, they get entangled and enter a passionate love-and-hate romance.
“The Potato Lab” Cast Lineup

Lee Sun Bin as Kim Mi Kyeong
Kim Mi Kyeong is a passionate researcher with an easygoing and fiery personality. Her motto is “Life is all about charging forward.” Mi Kyeong dedicates her life to potato research in the peaceful countryside. There, she spends more time working in the potato fields and greenhouses than in the lab. Suddenly, So Baek Ho, a corporate strategist from Wonhan Retail, arrives to disrupt her beloved potato lab. She finds her potato world shaken up, along with unexpected romance.
Kang Tae Oh as So Baek Ho
So Baek Ho is a dapper man with neatly styled hair, a stylish suit, and a sharp gaze. He strongly exudes the extraordinary charisma of an Organizational Reform Director at Wonhan Retail. He is known as a man who follows the rules and has a motto “Life is all about principles.”
However, his firm and cold personality starkly contrasts with Mi Kyeong’s character. His principles and patience will be tested when he meets her at the potato lab, where principles seemingly do not apply.
Lee Hak Joo as Park Ki Se
Park Ki Se is the executive director of the strategic planning office at Wonhan Retail. His polished appearance and sharp social skills make him admired by many. However, his outward appearance contrasts with his devious and inferior nature. Park Ki Se is Kim Mi Kyeong’s ex-boyfriend, and he still has feelings for her. An unexpected encounter with Mi Yeong brings new complications. His words, “I’m not the Park Ki Se you used to know,” raise curiosity about his motives. This intrigue adds to the excitement of this rom-com story.
Kim Ga Eun as Lee Ong Joo
Lee Ong Joo is a bestselling web novel writer who is full of imagination and curiosity and always looks at life through rose-colored glasses. As a true “romance addict,” she believes “life is all about love!” When she realizes the budding romance between her best friends Kim Mi Kyeong and So Baek Ho, she eagerly takes on the role of Cupid.
Shin Hyun Seung as Kim Hwan Kyung
Kim Hwan Kyung is Kim Mi Kyeong’s younger brother, who has an easygoing and cheerful personality. However, his jovial nature sometimes gets him into trouble. Ultimately, he has the motto, “All’s well that ends well.”
