On June 1 local time, prominent global music chart Billboard announced all the names that have made it into their “21 Under 21” list for 2024. And among all the names on this prestigious list, NewJeans was the only Kpop group mention this year.
Billboard’s “21 Under 21” is a fun and exciting roundup of the hottest young talent in the music industry. Each year, Billboard highlights 21 artists under the age of 21 who are making waves with their music, creativity, and impact.
Yes, it’s like a sneak peek into the future of music, featuring rising stars who are already making big moves and shaping the sounds we’ll be listening to for years to come. From pop prodigies to breakthrough rappers, Billboard is celebrating youth and innovation in the music scene through “21 Under 21”.
This is not the first time a Kpop group makes their name among such promising artist. Previously, NCT DREAM also secured a spot for a year on Billboard’s “21 Under 21” list in 2020.
