Fame is not something everyone can handle! Members of the precious little Cinderella and “stepdaughter” of HYBE, NewJeans, must experience a horrifying terrorism attempt amid their recent Japan debut concert. So, what exactly happened? Welcome to the darker side of fame, where every spotlight casts a shadow. Dive deep into the complete story in the following report.
Terrorism Attempt Against Members of HYBE “Stepdaughter” NewJeans Amid Japan Debut Concert
Imagine gearing up for the concert of the year, the glow sticks ready, and the excitement buzzing through your veins. Now, picture this turning into a scene straight out of a thriller movie—not because of the electrifying performance, but because you’re facing a chilling terror threat.
And no, these are not some random scenes in Korean drama. It actually happens in real life.
Amid their highly-anticipated debut concert in Japan, members of HYBE alleged “stepdaughter” NewJeans must face unexpected terrorism attempts.
On June 24, Korean media reported an online terrorism threat against members of Kpop 4th gen sensation NewJeans. This report immediately raised fans’ concerns about the members wellbeing, especially when they are away from their home base country.
According to the report, a post on an online community went viral with a horrifying title: “Bought this for the NewJeans concert.” The author of this post—identified as Mr.A—then uploaded a photo of a knife along with a terrifying caption.
“I plan to use this when they get off the van.”

Growing Concerns About Life-Threatening Terrorism Against Idols
After further examining the post, it does appear that the photo seem to be a copy of a Japanese knife sold on an e-commerce site. As of this moment, everything remains unclear whether the threat is actually real.
However, fans have been highly concerned, especially with the consistent emergence of knife attacks since last year. In August last year, a post threatening a stabbing occurred against HYBE, the parent label of NewJeans members.
In the same month, a post threatening to kill and terrorize aespa’s Winter surfaced. The author specifically mentioned the time and place where Winter would be departing. The police deployed around ten security personnel at Incheon Airport before and after her departure, and the airport also dispatched special security officers.
With this escalating terrorism event, fans are getting restless.
- “Are they crazy? LOL, threatening murder is really crossing the line. Shouldn’t you have to go to the police if you post a murder threat online? That person must be out of their mind. LOL.”
- “This person threatened to kill others, but when their favorite LE SSERAFIM got criticized at Coachella, they acted like they were the most tragic victims. The OP is the same person! And now they’re bashing NewJeans? LOL, these guys on the forum are something else.”
- “They say this behavior is typical of NewJeans fans, but it reeks of HYBE’s influence. It’s really gross.”
- “Wow, these fans are insane. Their behavior is beyond imagination.”
Immediately after the post went viral, the police received reports and are tracking down the author. They also plan to strengthen security measures to ensure the safety of NewJeans.
