Indeed, it seems like there’s no one in the Kpop 4th generation group more fearless than NewJeans. Once again, NewJeans has submitted an ultimatum to HYBE ADOR, warning the agency of a contract termination if the company failed to meet the group’s demands. But will they eventually succeed? Or will this ultimatum cause NewJeans to disband in the end? Join us in discussing NewJeans complete demands to HYBE ADOR below.
NewJeans Submits Legal Demands to ADOR with Contract Termination Ultimatum – Will They Leave or Disband?
A new chapter has just been released on the drama controversy between NewJeans and its label company HYBE ADOR. Following the escalating dispute and irreversible National Assembly revelations, NewJeans members have now submitted fearless demands to the company with a contract termination ultimatum.
On November 13, multiple Korean media outlets released reports that NewJeans members have issued a formal letter to HYBE ADOR under their birth names: Kim Minji, Hani Pham, Marsh Daniel, Kang Haerin, and Lee Hyein.
In the letter, NewJeans expressed its demands for HYBE ADOR to correct all violations against its exclusive contract within 14 days. If the company fails to meet its demands, NewJeans plans to carry out its contract termination plans against HYBE ADOR.
“All major violations of the exclusive contract be rectified within 14 days from the date of receipt.
If ADOR does not address these concerns, we will terminate our exclusive contract.”

All the Complete Demands from NewJeans to ADOR and Parent Label HYBE
It is worth noting that this is the first time NewJeans has decided to take official legal action against HYBE and ADOR. In the formal letter, NewJeans members submitted several demands to HYBE ADOR and warned the company of an official contract termination should they fail to fulfill them.
Here are all the complete demands from NewJeans:
- Find out who made the decision to cut ties and abandon NewJeans (a reference to New-IL-LE), and perform civil and criminal actions for any related misconduct, including breach of trust.
- Request a thorough audit report and report on personnel actions.
- Demand an official apology from the manager who previously ordered new artists to “ignore” Hanni.
- Remove the unauthorized photos and videos circulated without NewJeans members’ consent.
- Evaluation and resolution of damages incurred by HYBE’s “chart manipulation.”
- Resolution of conflicts against “Ditto” Director Shin Woo Seok and restore the deleted works.
- Protect NewJeans’ unique identity and creative work.
Along with the above demands, NewJeans also requested the restoration of the “old ADOR.”
“We want ADOR’s management and production to be returned to the way it was when former CEO Min Hee Jin was in charge.
NewJeans fondly remembers ADOR from the time after we signed our exclusive contract until March 2024, when we could happily and enthusiastically work together.
We miss the music, stages, and creative projects we dreamed of with former CEO Min Hee Jin.
If ADOR does not accept our demands, we will proceed with contract termination.”

Leaving HYBE or Disband?
Finally, with the drama controversy escalating to a legal dispute, will NewJeans eventually leave HYBE and disband if ADOR refuses to fulfill the group’s demands?
As NewJeans has been one of the biggest HYBE artists with a powerful influence in the global market, everything stems from the group’s brand image and name, NewJeans. Therefore, if the 5 members decided to leave HYBE or disband NewJeans, there is no guarantee that they can maintain the same level of power and influence in the Kpop community.
So, what do you think about this escalating controversy over the NewJeans vs HYBE drama? Please share your thoughts in the comments.
