New Internal Drama Within ADOR After HYBE Appointed a New CEO
A while ago, following the lengthy dispute between HYBE and ADOR producer Min Heejin, the giant corporation finally took a decisive step.
HYBE has appointed a new CEO to lead ADOR, forcing Min Heejin to step down and let go of her leadership position.
“Hello, this is ADOR.
On August 27, our board of directors convened and appointed Kim Ju Young as the new CEO of ADOR.
Meanwhile, Min Heejin will continue in her role as an internal director, specifically overseeing the production of NewJeans.”

However, Min Heejin then released her official statement, claiming that HYBE had unfairly removed her from the ADOR CEO position and forcibly appointed a new one.
“There are rumors going around that Min Heejin is stepping down as CEO but will stay on as an in-house executive director and continue managing NewJeans.
These reports are based on information from the board of directors, but they are not true. CEO Min Heejin was forced out of her position; she did not choose to resign.
The ADOR board of directors notified Min Heejin, without her agreement, that she would only be in charge of producing NewJeans.
It’s misleading the public to suggest that Min Heejin willingly stepped down as CEO and will only focus on production duties.”

In contrast, HYBE refuted the allegations by saying they did not blindside Min Heejin. According to HYBE, she was virtually present during the board meeting.
“Former CEO Min Heejin participated in the meeting online, and after thorough discussion, the board made the best decision for the future of ADOR and NewJeans.”

HYBE Accused of Sabotaging NewJeans Concept and Future: Members Express Frustration on Phoning
With this new internal conflict within ADOR between Min Heejin and the HYBE-appointed CEO, fans started accusing HYBE of sabotaging the unique concept and the future of NewJeans.
That’s because due to HYBE’s shocking action, Director Shin Woo Seok, who previously worked on NewJeans’ iconic “Ditto,” “ETA,” and “Cool With You” MV, announced that he and his company, Dolphiners Films, will no longer be working with ADOR.
Apparently, under the new HYBE-appointed CEO, ADOR had requested the removal of the videos on the channel Ban Heesoo.
Ban Heesoo is a character from NewJeans “Ditto” conceptual world, symbolizing the girls’ fandom, Bunnies. The YouTube channel named after Ban Heesoo featured short videos of the girls while they were filming for “Ditto,” along with posts written from Ban Heesoo’s point of view.
But today, all the videos on the Ban Heesoo channel have been removed. Along with this removal, director Shin Woo Seok released an official announcement on Instagram.
Hence, fans believe that HYBE has sabotaged the iconic concept and future of NewJeans now that director Shin Woo Seok, who has been a crucial part of NewJeans concept, is out.
ADOR Refutes the Director’s Accusation
But again, ADOR refuted the claims. The label posted a lengthy explanation on X, stating that the director gave a false statement. The company only asked for the removal of the recent Director’s Cut version of the “ETA” MV.
“The Director’s Cut of the ‘ETA’ music video that Dolphiners Films posted on their own social media included some changes that had previously caused issues with an advertiser. They uploaded this version without first checking with the advertiser.
Any version of the ‘ETA’ music video, including the Director’s Cut, should be uploaded to ADOR’s official channels to protect the artists’ rights.
Because of this, ADOR only asked Dolphiners Films to remove the Director’s Cut video. We did not ask them to delete or stop uploading all NewJeans-related videos on the Ban Heesoo channel or other platforms, and our policy for managing our channels has not changed.”
