Have you heard? All the problematic plagiarism accusations against NewJeans “Bubble Gum” might reportedly be a publicity stunt from the British band Shakatak. New alleged evidence suggests that Shakatak has been using NewJeans for their own boost in fame, and it has angered fans both local and international. So, what happened? Was the accusation REALLY fake? Check out the complete discussion in the following report.
Problematic Plagiarism Accusations Against NewJeans “Bubble Gum” Might Be Fake?
Amid the massive dispute between HYBE and ADOR CEO Min Heejin, Kpop 4th generation prodigy NewJeans has continuously been facing various problematic accusations of plagiarism. The group’s latest comeback, “Bubble Gum,”has received both massive hype for its easy listening and nostalgic elements and immense criticism for allegedly plagiarizing “Easier Said than Done” by British band Shakatak.
All of a sudden, recent updates have raised a suspicion that the problematic plagiarism against NewJeans “Bubble Gum” might be a fake allegation from British band Shakatak.
On July 22, Korean media outlet Xports News reported that alleged leaked evidence was circulating on online communities about NewJeans vs Shakatak plagiarism battle. According to the alleged evidence, all the problematic accusations against NewJeans had reportedly been a publicity stunt from the British band to gain more attention from the global audience.
Leaked Evidence of Fake Accusation from British Band Shakatak – Was it REAL?
Further in the report, Xports News revealed that alleged posts titled “Shakatak Chat Record Leaked” have been circulating in online communities.
In the leaked messenger chat room, the conversation reads, “Change the plan. Send the certificate of contents on June 17 and start the attack. There’s no need to delay if it’s going to court anyway. Attack. And we are ready for the public opinion battle.”
The post also reads, “Whether it’s plagiarism or not, we don’t care. The goal is to raise external issues. The best outcome is for Adore to propose a settlement to me to prevent a major crisis.”
And yet, was this conversation real?
Unfortunately, while this post seemed like Shakatak was plotting a conspiracy using NewJeans, the messenger chat in question is a parody of a KakaoTalk conversation that surfaced last April during the HYBE vs Min Heejin dispute.
Therefore, while this may have shaken the Kpop community, this alleged evidence was NOT real!
