Everything is finally revealed! Despite the prime offer they had secured, NewJeans has reportedly refused to participate in the HYBE exhibition events at the GRAMMY Museum. And it was all because of their own company, ADOR. Does it mean ADOR is starting to get ahead of themselves with all their provocative arrogancy? After all, the public’s opinions seem to be on their side now. Let’s discuss this further in the following report.
NewJeans Officially Refuses Prime Offer at HYBE x GRAMMY Museum Events Because of ADOR
It has been confirmed that the exclusion of NewJeans in the latest HYBE exhibition events at the GRAMMY museum was because of the label, ADOR.
On July 15, Korean media outlet Sports World reported a complete statement from ADOR regarding NewJeans appearance for HYBE events at the GRAMMY Museum. The statement confirmed that ADOR had prevented NewJeans from participating in the GRAMMY Museum events.
Previously, an insider mentioned that the organizers extended a heartfelt invitation. They gave NewJeans a prime offer, promising to make NewJeans’ exhibit the first thing visitors would see. HYBE also relayed this offer to ADOR, expressing their desire for NewJeans to be part of the exhibition.
Unfortunately, due to ADOR’s decision, NewJeans will not be featured in the ‘HYBE Exhibition.’
This move has ignited online rumors about a possible internal conflict between HYBE and ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin, adding to the controversy.
The situation is further complicated by NewJeans’ absence from the recent Weverse Con.
While HYBE explained that NewJeans couldn’t attend due to preparations for overseas activities, other artists managed to show up despite their busy schedules. This has fueled suspicions about ADOR’s lack of cooperation with HYBE events.
However, ADOR’s official statement denied the allegation. Instead, they believe NewJeans would never be able to their best at the HYBE x GRAMMY Museum events. Despite the rumors, ADOR declined the exhibition because they believed it wouldn’t benefit NewJeans.
“The decision to skip the HYBE exhibition was never about non-cooperation.
It was because NewJeans felt they couldn’t showcase the best of what the group can offer.”

“Not Really a Prime Offer” – ADOR Denies Allegation on HYBE x GRAMMY Museum Events
With the latest development in the HYBE x CEO Min Heejin drama situation, does this only mean that ADOR is getting ahead of itself?
In the exclusive report, industry insider revealed ADOR’s belief that GRAMMY Museum events planner never expected NewJeans to have a major role from the beginning.
“When planning content, let’s say the total percentage is 100.
BTS would take up 40, Bang Si Hyuk 10, making up half. Then SEVENTEEN, a large group, comes next. The rest gets divided among other teams.
We don’t think ADOR was unaware of this situation.”
Industry Insider.
While ADOR claimed to understand the proportion for BTS and Bang Si Hyuk, who had been HYBE’s main foundation, the company did not agree that the GRAMMY Museum truly offered a prime location for NewJeans. They also denied reports that the GRAMMY Museum offered NewJeans a central position.
“The proposed location didn’t have walls to hang exhibits, which was a fatal issue.”
ADOR.
Furthermore, ADOR felt the exhibition space at the GRAMMY Museum was too small. The third floor is only 8,000 square feet and can hold about 250 people standing, which isn’t enough to showcase HYBE’s extensive history and universe.
Plus, Min Heejin is famous for her expertise in branding through physical spaces, a skill recognized by HYBE and Chairman Bang Si Hyuk, who trusted her with various headquarters projects. So, ADOR made their decision based on her professional judgment.
Is ADOR REALLY Getting Arrogant?
Finally, while some media believe that ADOR is simply getting arrogant because of all the positive public sentiments, fan’s responses remain the same.
Some analysts point out that even though NewJeans is doing well on the U.S. charts and gaining popularity, they might feel pressured because they haven’t yet performed at major local concerts or festivals. This lack of large-scale live performances in the U.S. could be why they chose to skip the exhibition.
Therefore, claims that ADOR is becoming arrogant by refusing to cooperate with its parent company were only HYBE’s media play.
- “Those who are criticizing Min should take a moment to reflect.”
- “Why is HYBE treating their own artist this way? Aren’t they making money from them?”
- “How can HYBE claim they offered a good spot? A spot without walls to hang anything isn’t a good spot.”
- “It’s better for NewJeans to hold their own exhibit later on.”
- “HYBE, you need to stop spreading false information through the media.”
- “The spot they offered doesn’t seem that great. I thought it was strange when HYBE said the spot near the entrance was good. Turns out, I was right.”
- “This is a smart decision. As soon as they’re introduced as HYBE’s artists, they stop being the main focus.”
- “I get BTS taking up 40%, but is there also an exhibition just for Bang Si-hyuk?”
- “The HYBE exhibition in Korea wasn’t impressive either. NewJeans always nails it the first time they do something, so it would be a shame to waste their first exhibition like this.”
- “It seems like Min Heejin always prefers to do things her way, aiming for overall satisfaction rather than just following orders. This might be why Bang Si Hyuk doesn’t like Min Heejin and NewJeans. Unlike other labels, they don’t just follow orders blindly.”
But, was it really? Do you really think that skipping HYBE x GRAMMY Museum events is the right decision for NewJeans too? Or was it just ADOR getting ahead of itself? Please share your thoughts in the comments.
