Can you imagine getting hate for something that have always been your pride and strength since you were born? That is what’s happening right know with members of 4th gen brilliant Kpop group, NMIXX. Following their latest no-backtrack showcase of “Sonar,” NMIXX members suddenly face massive controversy for the most unexpected reason! So, what in the world happened to NMIXX? Dive deeper into the complete story with us in the following report.
NMIXX No-Backtrack Performance of “Sonar” Results in Controversy – What Happened?
The Kpop community is currently facing a huge crisis after some of its most popular groups were found having not even basic vocal skills in live performances. The declining skills of idols’ vocal resulted in claims that latest generation idols are not singers, they’re just beautiful dancers with great visuals.
These issues are getting even more severe after LE SSERAFIM performed in one of the greatest music festivals, Coachella, with horrible live vocals. And it got ever worse when LE SSERAFIM Sakura posted her allegedly shameless justification to cover the group’s lacking vocal skills.
Not only that, but due to LE SSERAFIM’s latest encore performances, live singing has been a massive concern in the Kpop community.
And so, fans become paying even closer attention to the latest groups who showcase impressive all-rounder skills, including aespa, (G)I-DLE, BABYMONSTER, and NMIXX. These groups have set impressive examples in performing live even without backtracks.
One of the rising Kpop 4th generation groups who managed to captivate fans with their live singing performances is NMIXX. Members of NMIXX have repeatedly demonstrated that they can sing with no backtrack in most of their performances, including “Sonar” in the latest collab with FC Mobile.
When this clip was posted, it immediately went viral, especially with the rising issues with Kpop idols’ lacking live vocal skills. Unfortunately, it went viral due to another controversy.
Criticisms Against NMIXX Members Due to No-Backtrack Showcase of “Sonar” – What Happened?
After the video circulated on the internet and social media, NMIXX members must still face massive hate and controversy due to this video. Some fans protested that NMIXX members have been overly boasting their vocal skills, taking advantage of the live vocal controversy too much that it was embarrassing.
They're literally singing alive since their debut… I don't Know what is the surprise here?…

sm groups esp the girls are damn talented but not that desperate to shove their vocals down to people's throat every single day with different videos. Like yeah we get it the idols can sing and we used to it, and move on? https://t.co/9MimXTkt8U

SM groups don’t have to constantly fish for viral moments, they have nothing to prove. This is only annoying because everyone knows nmixx can sing, that’s not where they need the clout points so it’s annoying to see JYP not putting in effort where they are actually lacking https://t.co/YKR504OSgW

because SM isn’t desperately trying to prove their artists’ talent by staging incidents on stage or releasing pointless videos like this. JYP is trying to force viral moments, which is why people are annoyed. hope this helps. https://t.co/2lI8R6YUjh

Previously, NMIXX faced controversy when JYP Entertainment intentionally shut down the music during one of their performances without informing the members. This incident led to significant criticism, with many accusing JYP of trying to boast NMIXX’s skills amid issues with live vocals in the Kpop community.

Fans Defend the Members, Especially After What Happened at University Performance
At the same time, fans rally to defend NMIXX members in the controversy, especially after what happened at the university performance.
Most fans believe that there’s nothing wrong with NMIXX members showcasing their live vocal, performing “Sonar” with no backtrack as much as they want. After all, it is the main duty of an idol t actually perform with their live singing and dancing skills.
Therefore, NMIXX members are simply doing their job, and there’s nothing wrong with that. In fact, it is highly appropriate that we commend their skills, which are considered rare in the present day Kpop.
sorry but nmixx getting hate for being good at their job is hilarious considering they do shit like this since day 1 i thought kpop stans were begging for vocal groups to be on a rise again or are they only good enough when they come from sm? much to think about https://t.co/UGmFfXS6x3

why is everyone so pressed about nmixx signing w/o backtrack? their not”doing too much” or “over singing”. they aren’t showing off. this is just them doing their job, singing and dancing as they should be. why y’all mad abt idols doing what they get paid for https://t.co/Dy2GmGm8ey pic.twitter.com/bMaaqRK1cZ

what is pissing me off is that people are saying nmixx is singing live just for a viral moment or they're just doing it cause of lsrfm

Indeed, NMIXX did nothing wrong in repeatedly boasting their impressive live vocals with “Sonar” no-backtrack performances. However, it is unbelievable that the company is trying to take advantage by going as far as staging an incident.
