MEOVV Tops the Rookie Idol Group Brand Reputation Rankings in October 2024
The Korean Business Research Institute extracted 15,097,452 pieces of brand big data for new KPop idol groups from September 1 to October 1, 2024. However, compared to the 11,117,286 pieces of brand data collected for new idol groups in September, the number of brand big data increased by 35.80 percent.
Moreover, they utilized this latest brand big data to analyze consumer behavior. This analysis specifically aimed to obtain the groups’ brand reputation indexes by measuring four key factors: participation, media, communication, and community indexes. Finally, the institute arranged the brand reputation indexes of the rookie idol groups to obtain the current ranking.
According to the results, MEOVV, TWS, BOYNEXTDOOR, ILLIT, and RIIZE dominated the top 5 Kpop rookie group rankings. Check out the top 30 new Kpop idol groups in August to October below.

1. MEOVV
The Black Label’s new female idol group, MEOVV, which debuted on September 6 with the digital single “Meow,” secured the top position in the rookie idol group rankings for October with a brand reputation index of 1,729,187. The following indexes contribute to this analysis:
- Participation Index: 383,082
- Media Index: 475,301
- Communication Index: 683,857
- Community Index: 186,947
In link analysis, the institute identified the terms ‘intense,’ ‘flawless,’ and ‘successful’ as the most related terms to the group. Moreover, keyword analysis highlighted terms such as ‘Teddy girl group,’ ‘The Black,’ and ‘monster rookie.’ In the positive-negative ratio analysis, MEOVV recorded an impressive positive rate of 87.68 percent.
2. TWS
TWS held onto its second-place position with a brand reputation index of 1,254,364. However, this marks a decline of 8.54 percent compared to September’s brand reputation index of 1,371,512. The following indexes contribute to this analysis:

- Communication Index: 286,204
- Community Index: 414,943
3. BOYNEXTDOOR
BOYNEXTDOOR climbed to the third position with a brand reputation index of 970,908. This number shows an increase of 41.80 percent compared to the index of 684,686 in September. The following indexes contribute to this analysis:

- Communication index: 295,535
- Community index: 298,481
4. ILLIT
ILLIT climbed to the fourth position with a brand reputation index of 966,130. It shows an increase of 65.88 percent compared to the index of 582,423 in September. The following indexes contribute to this analysis:

5. RIIZE
