From September 6 to October 6, 2025, the Korean Business Research Institute analyzed 62,829,976 big data points from 21 popular Korean dramas. It shows a 26.55% increase from the 49,648,059 big data collected in September.
Meanwhile, for Korean drama actors, the institute analyzed 101,266,718 big data points from 100 actors who appeared in dramas that aired between September 7 and October 7, 2025. This figure represents a 23.88% increase from the 81,744,771 big data points analyzed in September.
To determine the rankings, the institute conducted a consumer behavior analysis on each category to obtain the brand reputation indexes. They measured key metrics, including consumer brand participation, media coverage, communication, and community engagement, using a brand reputation algorithm.
Lee Chae Min & “Bon Appétit, Your Majesty” Lead for Two Straight Months
Actor Lee Chae-min, the 25-year-old actor, landed the top spot for the second month with an index of 8,217,657. After stepping in for Park Sung Hoon, he didn’t just catch up—he scored the winning goal. His outstanding performance proved he was the perfect choice for the role.
According to Koo Chang-hwan, the institute’s director, Lee’s brand analysis was linked to keywords like “Bon Appétit, Your Majesty,” “Lee Heon,” and “irreplaceable actor.” His link analysis featured powerful phrases such as “passionate performance,” “reinvent,” and “versatile.” The actor earned an impressive 93.75% positivity ratio in the sentiment analysis.
The drama, “Bon Appétit, Your Majesty,” also secured the top spot for a second consecutive month with a total brand reputation index of 13,170,906. Ended on September 28, fans are still buzzing about its unique story and captivating performances.
The keyword analysis highlighted “Lee Chae-min,” “Lim Yoona,” and the phrase “strong from start to finish.” And his link analysis featured top terms such as “unstoppable,” “breakthrough,” and “record-setting.” According to Koo, the drama’s success was driven by an overwhelmingly positive score of 94.19%.
