Apparently, there is more to the OMEGA X CEO abuse case that we didn’t know. And this time, more perpetrators, victims, and horrible mistreatments will be out in the open!

On November 11, SBS finally exposed more facts and truth about the horrible abuse former SPIRE Entertainment CEO Kang Seong Hee did to OMEGA X members. What’s worse, you will know that she was not the sole perpetrator. And OMEGA X members were not the only victims of her abuse.

The Complete Facts & Evidence: Additional Perpetrator & Victim!

SBS finally gave us more facts and evidence behind all the horrible abuse and mistreatments from former SPIRE Entertainment CEO Kang Seong Hee to OMEGA X members. And they did it through a clever investigation by Kang Kyung Yoon, the prominent reporter who previously covered the Burning Sun scandal.

The Absurd Reason Behind CEO Kang’s Frantic Incident in LA

All the truth behind the OMEGA X CEO abuse case started after a fan witnessed the mistreatment during their LA concerts. The fan testified on Twitter, followed by other fans who witnessed the same person mistreating OMEGA X members on different occasions.

Today, SBS revealed the reason behind the OMEGA X CEO frantic incident in LA, which resulted in police involvement.

According to SBS, former SPIRE Entertainment CEO Kang Seong Hee started her abuse on OMEGA X members in LA because they didn’t read a thank you message on the teleprompter.

The CEO believed OMEGA X members failed to properly express their gratitude to the company and CEO. And Kang Seong Hee couldn’t tolerate this behavior. So she demanded the members pay the company 1 billion KRW (around 761,000 USD) if they wanted to leave the company.

Kang Seong Hee Abused Jaehan, Even When He Displayed Panic Disorder Symptoms

Furthermore, former Kang Seong Hee even grabbed OMEGA X member Jaehan by his collar at the hotel lobby. She then pushed him to the floor even after knowing he displayed panic disorder symptoms.

This frantic behavior of former SPIRE Entertainment CEO Kang Seong Hee at OMEGA X members event got the local police involved. However, the CEO attempted to deviate from the facts and shifted the blame onto OMEGA X members.

More Embarrassing Commotion at the LA Hotel

In addition to the hotel lobby incident, Kang Seong Hee caused more commotion. She knocked on the members’ hotel room doors and cursed at the managers for not opening the doors. This incident escalated so much that witnesses and hotel staff had to step in and stop her behavior.

She was NOT The Only Perpetrator!

What is more shocking is that apparently, former SPIRE Entertainment CEO Kang Seong Hee was not the only perpetrator in the OMEGA X abuse case.

SBS further reported that after the LA hotel incident, SPIRE Entertainment Chairman Hwang texted OMEGA X members. He believed that their behavior was unacceptable and threatened OMEGA X members with “consequences” when they got back.

For the record, SPIRE Entertainment chairman Hwang is Kang Seong Hee’s husband.

More Harassments, Resulting in Panic Disorders to OMEGA X Members

Not only that, OMEGA X members finally admitted that former SPIRE Entertainment CEO Kang Seong Hee power abuse happened numerous times before.

One time, former CEO Kang Seong Hee forced OMEGA X members to pause their performance and call her during a concert. That was because Kang Seong Hee was furious OMEGA X members had not immediately called her following the news of her father’s passing right before the concert.

What’s worse was that this harassment continued and caused OMEGA X members’ panic disorder symptoms to worsen.

“CEO Kang Seong Hee called me at dawn many times. She would then lecture me for one or two hours although it wasn’t the time for our practice. Then, she would also send us KakaoTalk messages repeatedly. If we didn’t reply, she would get furious.
Because of this treatment, the members’ panic disorder symptoms got worse.”

OMEGA X Members Were NOT The Only Victims!

SBS further revealed in the report that OMEGA X members were not the only victims the CEO’s power abuse.

There was a time when OMEGA X manager tried to ignore Kang’s messages for Jaehan. However, Kang Seong Hee verbally abused not only OMEGA X members but also the manager. She accused the manager of causing conflicts between the company and the artist and fired the manager in the message.

Then, Kang Seong Hee ordered all of the members to get off the plane immediately. And if they didn’t do it, she would terminate their contract and sue them.

Forcing OMEGA X Members to Hide Their COVID-19 and Keep Performing

On top of everything, SBS confirmed that both CEO Kang Seong Hee and Chairman Hwang had forced OMEGA X members to keep performing, although 4 members were COVID-19 positive. It was when the members were in Chile, where quarantine guidelines were still mandatory.

Not only that, both CEO Kang and Chairman Hwang ordered the members to hide their positive test results. CEO Kang accused that their condition was because the members didn’t have the will to perform. Meanwhile, Chairman Hwang told them to pull themselves together and arm themselves with mental spirit.

As a result, two members managed to complete the rehearsals but were not able to perform at the concert due to high fever. And eventually, the concert could only go on with 7 members on stage.

OMEGA X Members are Undergoing Psychological Treatments due to Abuse from SPIRE Entertainment CEO Kang Seong Hee

Today, 4 OMEGA X members are reportedly receiving psychological treatments for panic disorder, anxiety, and insomnia.

Even though SPIRE Entertainment official told SBS that the company had officially apologized and Kang Seong Hee had resigned, it doesn’t mean that all the abuse and mistreatment the members had received would simply go away.

SPIRE Entertainment Demands Financial Settlement from OMEGA X Members

Finally, even after all the mistreatments OMEGA X members received from former CEO Kang Seong Hee, SPIRE Entertainment asked for a financial settlement.

On November 10, SPIRE Entertainment sent an official letter to OMEGA X members. The letter stated that each member of OMEGA X had to pay 300 to 400 million KRW (approximately $230,000 to $300,000) as settlement fees.

However, when the media contacted SPIRE Entertainment regarding the latest SBS report, the company merely repeated their previous statement.

“The company has officially apologized, and the CEO in question has voluntarily resigned to take responsibility.”
