A few months earlier, right after BTS delivered their speech and “Permission to Dance” performance at the 2021 UNGA, there was slight friction between James “Papa Mochi” Corden and BTS ARMY. However, he’s all in the clear right now after BTS made their FIRST studio appearance at the 2021 Late Late Show with James Corden.

On November 24, The Late Late Show with James Corden posted a video of BTS FIRST studio appearance after being two years apart with the “Papa Mochi”. The footage showed that the air is finally clear, and it’s all thanks to how BTS gracefully handled the situation through RM’s extraordinary diplomatic skills.

BTS Gracefully Handle the “Papa Mochi” Situation with RM’s Amazing Diplomatic Skills

During their FIRST studio appearance at the Late Late Show 2021, BTS finally reunited their ARMY with “Papa Mochi” James Corden. And it’s all thanks to RM’s extraordinary diplomatic skills.

It all started with BTS RM, who suddenly returned James Corden’s greeting by asking about his condition after being in hot water with ARMY, and James Corden’s face got as red as tomatoes. The “Papa Mochi” began explaining the situation and how his two (or three) comments that had started as jokes disappointed ARMY fans worldwide.

James Corden Admitted His Jokes Were NOT True

Then, James Corden admitted that the jokes they thought would be harmless have apparently offended BTS ARMY. Furthermore, he also explained that both the jokes were not true because he also considered himself as one the biggest BTS fans on planet earth.

“So, we did two jokes, which I didn’t think were in any way offensive to anybody. Well, we said that we thought it was unusual that you were kicking off the UN summit with the performance. Then we said—and it was where I think it was wrong—that your fans were 15-year-old girls, which of course isn’t true because I’m 43 years old and I consider myself to be one of the biggest BTS fans on planet earth.”

BTS RM Gracefully Accepted James Corden’s Apology

Furthermore, James Corden also explained how he and the show have always loved BTS and their entire ARMY. James also stated that he considers ARMY a true force for good, especially when James has experienced how ARMY has supported the charities he supports at home.

“I’ve seen them [BTS ARMY] at their absolute best. When they are a true force for good. Like, they have supported charities that I support at home, and they’re amazing! And I don’t know, the prospect of doing anything that may have upset them is—I didn’t enjoy that feeling, and I hope they know that we would never do—”

And that was the time when BTS wise leader Kim Namjoon (RM) stepped in and gracefully accepted James’ apology.

Then, the situation became extremely heartwarming with this reunion. James Corden looked incredibly relieved, and all BTS members seemed happy, especially after James asked Jimin, his precious Baby Mochi, whether he was still his papa.

BTS Jimin then gave his humble reaction. First, he smiled with a slight pause before answering, “Papa Mochi, I believe you.” then he stood up and hugged James Corden.

Just like that, Papa Mochi has finally reunited with his boy, Baby Mochi!

BTS Jin Added His Charming Jokes

Now that the air is clear. BTS Jin charmingly reconnected BTS and James Corden even more by cracking hilarious jokes. He stated that watching and listening to James Corden the “Papa Mochi” is how he takes a break, which Namjoon revealed was an “absolute lie”. Still, BTS Jin set an example and created a more relaxed and comfortable atmosphere for the whole show by delivering these jokes.

And this is just as expected from BTS eldest Hyung, Kim Seok Jin, with his crystal voice and a big heart!
