Park Gyu Young to Star in New Star-Studded Korean Drama, “Nine Puzzle”
Rising actress Park Gyu Young of “Squid Game 2” and “Sweet Home” series is steadily rising to the top tier actresses in the Korean entertainment industry.
OSEN’s exclusive report revealed that Park Gyu Young would soon appear in the new Korean drama, “Nine Puzzle.” It is a new project by director Yoon Jong Bin and writer Lee Eun Mi, who has created various masterpieces, including “Navillera” and “Tunnel.”
Previously, prominent actors Kim Da Mi and Son Suk Ku both received an offer to play the main characters in “Nine Puzzle”. In order to star in this upcoming series, Son Suk Ku even reportedly declined a role in a project by South Korea’s top-tier writer, the Hong Sisters. Fortunately, actor Kim Seon Ho stepped in to save the day.
This move by actor Son Suk Ku escalated the hype of “Nine Puzzle,” a new drama. Moreover, a series of star-studded veteran actors will also appear in the new series. The list includes actors Lee Sung Min of “Reborn Rich,” Hwang Jung Min, Park Sung Woong, Lee Hee Jun, and Yewon. These Korean actors reportedly decided to appear in “Nine Puzzle”due to their close relationship with director Yoon Jong Bin.
With these star-studded veteran actors, topped with Park Gyu Young’s upcoming appearance, anticipation is highly rising on “Nine Puzzle”.
Storyline and Characters
Previously, we have discussed the complete storyline and characters of “Nine Puzzle” new Korean drama. It basically depicts the story of Yi Na (Kim Da Mi), who becomes a profiler 10 years after witnessing a murder case.
Intriguingly, she will later work on solving the murder she had witnessed earlier. And she will be working on it together with Han Saem (Son Suk Ku), the officer in charge of the murder case who initially thought Yi Na was the perpetrator.
Unfortunately, as of today, there has been no official confirmation regarding the role that Park Gyu Young will play in the new Korean drama. That is because this new project is still in the planning process. Both Moonlight and Kakao Entertainment are now collaborating in processing the release schedule as well as the broadcasting platform.
