Park Hae Eun is reported to be leaving the cast of an upcoming drama ‘Hwan Hon,’ written by the Hong Sisters. And the report goes saying that Jung So Min takes over the role as the lead female in ‘Hwan Hon.’
The Reason Why Park Hae Eun Leaves ‘Hwan Hon’
On July 8, tvN told Star News, “Park Hae Eun, who was a cast in tvN’s new drama ‘Hwan Hon,’ left the drama after discussion with the production crew.”
Although Park Hae Eun has finished the script reading for the drama, she still decided to leave the role as the female lead.
“Despite the fact that she is a rookie actress, we worked hard together, but she felt a lot of pressure to play the lead character of a big project. Therefore, after a lot of discussion with the actress and with respect to a mutual exchange of opinions, it was decided that she would step down from the role.”

Park Hae Eun posted on her Instagram
The actress Park Hae Eun posted a photo on Instagram, and wrote, “There were some ambiguous regrets and complicated feelings, but in the end, I hope that ‘Hwan Hon’ will be completed without issues. Even if things got tangled up, I will think of it as individual good intentions. Thank you to all those who were concerned about it. I will soon remove this post.”
Jung So Min replace Park Hae Eun as ‘Hwan Hon’ female lead character
On the same date, it was also reported that Jung So Min would replace Park Hae Eun as the female lead for the new tvN drama ‘Hwan Hon.’
Regarding the report, Blossom Entertainment clarified, “It is true that she was offered a role in ‘Hwan Hon,’ but her [appearance in the drama] has not been confirmed.”
Jung So Min was not the only actress receiving the offer to play a role in ‘Hwan Hon.’ The other actors who have been offered roles in ‘Hwan Hon’ include Lee Jae Wook, NU’EST Minhyun, Oh My Girl Arin, Oh Na Ra, and Joo Sang Wook.

‘Hwan Hon’ (Romanized title) means the return of someone’s soul after death. The drama was written by hit screenwriter duo Hong Sisters. They have been producing hit dramas, such as ‘My Girl,’ ‘You’re Beautiful,’ ‘My Girlfriend is a Gumiho,’ ‘The Greatest Love,’ ‘Master’s Sun,’ ‘Hotel del Luna,’ and more.
The new tvN drama, ‘Hwan Hon,’ will be directed by Park Joon Hwa of ‘What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim.’
