HYBE and ADOR are apparently holding another contest amid their conflict and drama controversy! Just when NewJeans launched its latest “How Sweet” comeback, both HYBE producers and ADOR employees submitted petitions to support their own causes. So, which petition will end up winning in the end – HYBE or ADOR? Let’s discuss them further in the following report.
HYBE Producers vs ADOR Employee Petition Amid NewJeans “How Sweet” Comeback
The ongoing feud between HYBE and ADOR CEO Min Heejin has again escalated into a petition contest. Just when NewJeans was supposed to be celebrating its latest comeback, “How Sweet,” its label company shifted the public’s attention to their endless dispute.
On May 24, Korean reports revealed that HYBE producers had submitted a petition against ADOR CEO Min Heejin. Sources from the legal and entertainment industry revealed that the petition had reached the court, involving prominent producers and figures from HYBE corporation, including:
- Pdogg (BTS’s key producer)
- Han Sung Soo (Pledis Entertainment’s founder)
- So Sung Jin (Souce Music’s MP)
- Son Sung Deuk (BIGHIT’s performance director)
- Kim Sung Hyun (BTS’s and LE SSERAFIM’s creative director)
- Slow Rabbit (TXT’s producer).
All these prominent figures have supported the previous petition submitted by HYBE’s chairman, Bang Si Hyuk. The petition basically highlighted his personal hatred against ADOR CEO Min Heejin. He also requested the court to set rules and foundation that will help support creators to grow the Kpop industry.
Along with Bang Si Hyuk’s hostility towards ADOR CEO Min Heejin, the petition from HYBE producers also highlights how important the multi-label system is for Kpop’s success. Hence, they demand protection, worrying that the entertainment industry could become unstable if people prioritize their own interests over the industry’s well-being.
“There’s growing criticism and concern in the industry because of Min Hee Jin’s actions.
People are now getting tired of Kpop, and some fans are even starting to dislike it. This has messed up the balance between how much effort people put in and the rewards they get, shaking up the industry’s core.
This core includes creators, artists, and everyone else who works behind the scenes to make K-pop what it is.”
