On October 12, Leesuho, the music producer and video director of alternative Kpop group Balming Tiger, released his 1st studio full-length album ‘Monika.’
Here are things about Leesuho’s 1st studio album, ‘Monika’
1. First release in three years
Finally after three years, Leeshuo released his 1st studio album ‘Monika.’ His first EP ‘Entertain’ was released in 2018 and received high praise from music critics in Korea. Leesuho brought fresh influence to the scene and was nominated at the Korean Hip-hop Awards 2019.
2. Who is Monika in Leesuho’s 1st studio album?
Leesuho gives freedom to the listeners to decide what or who ‘Monika’ is. Monika may be an animal, a space, a scent, or a person depending on the listener’s interpretation.
3. Sense of liberation expression
Unlike Leesuho’s 2018 EP ‘Entertain,’ which expressed anger mainly with aggressive and sharp sounds, Leesuho’s 1st studio album ‘Monika’ contains a variety of moods within electronic sounds. On Monika, Leesuho expresses his psychological state and emotional growth over the past few years.
4. Featuring various artists
In addition to fellow Balming Tiger team members Omega Sapien and sogumm, various artists like Chang Kiha, So!YoON! of SE SO NEON, Lil Cherry, Kim Ximya, Simo of Y2K92, and Kim Hanjoo of Silica Gel have lent their genre-defying vocals to the project. As a result of this, Leesuho’s 1st studio album become enjoyable to various listeners.
5. Leesuho’s 1st studio album, ‘Monika’ Tracklist
‘Monika’ was preceded by the emotional, atmospheric song and video ‘Lights’ and the destructive sounding track ‘Echo.’

In addition to those videos, Leesuho also released ‘MOM’ music video on October 14.
