After almost two months of hiatus, Red Velvet Joy is returning to the entertainment industry and resuming her activities. The agency, SM Entertainment, released an official statement announcing the good news and sending gratitude for fans’ endless support and encouragement.
Red Velvet Joy Gains Her Health Back
On April 26, SM Entertainment announced that Red Velvet Joy is taking a hiatus due to poor health conditions. Although the agency did not provide any details about her health condition, they informed fans that the idol would be receiving treatment and taking time to rest.
Fortunately, on June 20, SM Entertainment updated fans that Joy is improving.
After discussions with the medical staff, who understood her condition well, she decided to resume her activities, including filming the SBS program TV Animal Farm.
“Joy, who was on a temporary hiatus from scheduled activities to recover her health and to get plenty of rest, will resume all her scheduled activities starting with the filming of “Animal Farm” on June 21.
Joy has been resting, her health has significantly improved, and after discussions with our agency and medical staff, she has decided to return to her activities.”

“We would like to thank all the fans who gave Joy lots of support and encouragement, and we will do our best to support Joy so that she can continue her activities in good health in the future.”
