On October 22, CJ ENM announced the third lineup of performing artists for the 2024 MAMA Awards. In this third round of lineup, the Kpop artists mentioned in the announcement include BIBI, BOYNEXTDOOR, (G)I-DLE, PLAVE, and G-Dragon of BIGBANG.

Fans are already massively anticipating G-Dragon’s return. After all, it is the highly anticipated comeback of G-Dragon to the stage of MAMA Awards since 2015.

From 2016 to 2019, despite YG artists consistently releasing quality music, they were largely overlooked at the MAMA Awards, with only a few minor awards given. This was partly due to MAMA’s tradition of awarding attendees.
A notable incident occurred at MAMA 2017 when G-Dragon, who was expected to win Best Male Artist based on votes and digital performance, was shockingly snubbed. The incident left fans feeling G-Dragon was unfairly “ripped off,” and they continue to replay his diss track every December as a jab at the award show.
Hence, G-Dragon also once created a track to specifically dissed MAMA in 2014.
