It is not a secret that BLACKPINK Rosé is an outgoing, friendly star. Recently BLACKPINK Rosé opened up about her close friendship with Girl’s Day Hyeri on “Ask Us Anything.” Before that, Hyeri Sent Gift in Behind-The-Scene video of Rosé “On The Ground.”
BLACKPINK Rosé and Girl’s Day Hyeri Close Friendship
Hyeri appeared on “Ask Us Anything” with Rosé
On March 20, Rosé made a guest appearance to promote her solo debut on the JTBC variety show, “Ask Us Anything.” The BLACKPINK member did not come alone, but she also brought over her close friend, Hyeri.
Hyeri said, “Rosé’s here because she just released an album, but why am I here? I’m just here to cheer on Rosé.”
As to show how close they are, Rosé added, “I wanted to appear on [‘Ask Us Anything’ with Hyeri], so I called her and asked her to come on the show with me. Despite her busy schedule, she agreed to make time to appear on the show.”
It was revealed that Hyeri didn’t tell the agency and just came over for Rosé. She explained, “From the moment Rosé called me, I thought, ‘If Rosé personally contacted me to ask me, this request must be a big deal for her.'”

Hyeri sent a food truck during the Behind-The-Scene video
During the final shoot for the On The Ground music video, Rosé received a gift from her close friend. On BLACKPINK Rosé Instagram (roses_are_rosie), she excitedly posted a photo of her posing next to a food truck sent by Hyeri. She also pointed out that Hyeri prepared stickers that said, “Park Rosé is coming, move out of the way!”
How Rosé and Hyeri became close friends
When asked about their friendship, Hyeri revealed that they had met when Rosé and Jisoo guested on tvN’s Amazing Saturday. Hyeri and Jisoo are the same age, which made Hyeri wanted to make friends in the first place.
“So I was delighted to meet someone of the same age, and I told her, ‘Let’s be friends,’ and I also told [Rosé], ‘Let’s all be friends together.’ But Chaeyoung [Rosé’s given name] was so cute, and she contacted me so often afterward that I opened my heart to her right away,” explained Hyeri.
Rosé and Hyeri spent time together often
The two girls often spend time together, from dining out to make video calls. They show their love for each other by sending supports constantly, just like when Hyeri sent a food truck to Rosé On The Ground set.
Hyeri shared a story when they started their habits of sending support to each other, “It was my birthday, and Rosé was on tour abroad. She wished me a happy birthday by text, and I replied, ‘Thanks! Do a great job [on tour] and come home safe!’ But then suddenly, my doorbell rang. Someone had delivered a bouquet to my home. I wondered who could possibly have sent it because no one knows my home address. So I looked at the bouquet of flowers, and it was from Rosé.”
Rosé is grateful for having Hyeri as a close friend
There was a moment where Rosé had a very rough time, and she found that Hyeri is someone she can depend on. Rosé recalled, “We’d met up to eat together, and I had gotten rid of my stress by hanging out with her. It was time for me to go home. But just when I was about to leave, Hyeri suddenly grabbed me and asked, ‘Chaeyoung, are you okay?'”
Rosé continued, “I don’t know why, but I was going through a tough time back then, and you know how when things are too hard, you don’t want to talk about it? I was going through a rough time.”
The singer then broke off as she wiped her tears and continued, “[Hyeri] told me it’s better to talk about things than to hold it all in, and she asked me what had happened. So I honestly told her everything while crying my eyes out.”
