BTS leader, Kim Nam Joon or known as RM, opened up his disappointment over Seoul Concert Tour cancelation due to coronavirus issue. Big Hit Entertainment officially announced the BTS Map of the Soul: 7 concert tour in Seoul cancelation on February 28.
RM started a live streaming VLIVE on Tuesday, March 10. During the streaming, he confessed that he felt disappointed and raged like a madman because of the “Map of the Soul: 7” concert tour in Seoul cancelation. BTS was originally scheduled to have four concerts as a part of the world tour “Map of the Soul Tour” in Seoul on April 11-12 and 18-19.

He got teary eyed talking about
army, he said he had no energy
during promos ‘cause we weren’t
there, he would go home early after
the music shows and scream out of
frustration, that the whole situation
(corona) is so unfair & sad 🥺😭😭 pic.twitter.com/UrPtQ3Xpsb
In the one hour and 48 minutes live streaming, RM gave behind-the-scene stories about each song in the “Map of the Soul: 7” album to ARMYs. He continued to open up that music shows have been recording performances without live audiences, which upset him.
RM said, “I’m saying this now as promotional activities have wrapped up, but I felt powerless at times during our activities. Even when I was sweating, it didn’t feel like real sweat. We were announcing our return, but there was no one there, only cameras. Of course, we received reactions about our comeback, but we didn’t have any direct interactions with people in person.”
“At times, when I was at home these past two weeks, I would feel so much anger building up like I was going crazy. All of a sudden, I’d start yelling and feel so much anger, because I was feeling dejected. I was upset. I was upset, and I felt like there wasn’t much we could do realistically.” RM said to express his frustration.
BTS RM positive attitude toward concert cancelation
Despite his disappointment and anger, he thought that BTS couldn’t stay powerless. Unless ARMYs would lose energy as well. For that, he stated, “But the time, practice and performances we have invested in this album will not vanish, and so too you (ARMY’s) love and encouragement.”
As a positive message, RM reminded all ARMYs, “At least we get to be in broadcasts. I at least get to borrow the power of media and share my stories, because offline interactions aren’t possible these days. But we must keep moving forward. What else can we do? We have to keep moving forward, and I believe that if many in Korea wait, there will be good news.”
This is why ARMYs admire RM very much. He is wise and always able to look at the bright side of even this kind of thing.
ARMYs Donate Concert Cancelation Fees to Coronavirus Prevention
Some ARMYs initiated the trend to donate their ticket funds to some organizations related to COVID-19 relief, treatment, and prevention. As for information, BTS Suga also donated 100million won or around $83,000 to the Hope Bridge Association of the National Disaster Relief.
Following Suga’s donation, the association reported a massive boost in the donation they received. “We e received 453 donations today by 3 p.m,” they said. Further investigation then found out that some donations were registered under the name of ‘BTS ARMY’ or simply ‘BTS’. The donation has reached more than 19million won or approximately more than $16.000.
