SF9 Rowoon has been in talks for this new fantasy webtoon drama, “Tomorrow,” with Kim Hee Sun for months now, and he finally confirmed his role on November 4. Following Rowoon, Lee Soo Hyuk confirmed his participation on November 8.
Adapted from a Korean Fantasy Webtoon, “Tomorrow”, by Llama
The new fantasy drama “Tomorrow” starring Rowoon and Kim Hee Sun is actually a masterpiece by webtoon artist, Llama. The storyline revolves around a healing theme of giving people a second chance, especially those desperate to end their lives.
Due to the skyrocketing number of suicides, the grim reapers form a “Crisis Management Team”. This time, instead of picking up wandering spirits, the grim reapers scatter in the real world to save lives.
“Tomorrow” tells the tale of a young man, Choi Joon Woong, who lives as half-human and half-spirit. He’s been unemployed for three years despite having all those certificates in his possession. One day, he was drunk and almost made a mistake and attempted suicide. However, he suddenly found another person trying to do the same thing and tried to save that person instead.
Unfortunately, while saving the person, Choi Joon Woong fell off the bridge before the “Crisis Management Team” arrived. As a result, he became unconscious for three years.
Because this incident happened due to the grim reapers’ mistakes, grim reapers Goo Ryun and Lim Ryoong Goo decided to take him as the team’s maknae. Hence, the unemployed Choi Joon Woong is now in his new employment journey as a part-time grim reaper.
SF9 Rowoon to Take the Lead Role as Choi Joon Woong, the Part-Time Grim Reaper
After successfully playing as a charismatic mentor for the King in “The King’s Affection”, this time SF9 Rowoon will take the lead role and play as a part-time grim reaper. Therefore, it means that he will soon add to the list of handsome Korean grim reapers after Lee Dong Wook, Jung Il Woo, and Song Seung Hoon.
Kim Hee Sun as Rowoon’s Grim Reaper Boss and Sunbae
Furthermore, playing as Rowoon’s boss and grim reaper sunbae, Goo Ryun, is Kim Hee Sun. Goo Ryun is a fearless and charismatic grim reaper with an ice-cold personality. She doesn’t like getting close to people and tends to push them away with her cold glare and words.
Now, the question is: Who will be the next grim reaper? Because according to “Tomorrow” webtoon, we still have one last grim reaper left, Lim Ryoong Goo. And Lee Soo Hyuk is not him.
Lee Soo Hyuk as Park Joong Gil, the Guiding Management Team Leader
The prominent actor with deep sexy voice Lee Soo Hyuk will take the role as the team leader of the Guiding Management Team of the afterlife, Park Joong Gil. He’s a meticulous man who excretes stunning charismatic aura with steady principles. That is why he frequently clashes with Goo Ryun, as the Crisis Management Team leader.
With such cold gaze and authoritative appearance, Lee Soo Hyuk is the perfect high-ranking grim reaper!
