Amid the rising trend of public dating between Korean celebrities, it seems that nothing is more complicated than the breakup drama of Ryu Jun Yeol and Lee Hyeri these days. Following all the shocking revelations and social media play, the agency of Ryu Jun Yeol has reportedly acquired the label that houses Lee Hyeri. So, will this become a new season of Ryu Jun Yeol and Hyeri drama? And what happens when the two broken up artists must stay within one roof of an agency? Let’s find out in the following complete report.
Agencies of Ryu Jun Yeol and Hyeri Under Major Business Change: Breakup Drama Continues?
After Han So Hee ended all the issue theatrically, the breakup drama between Ryu Jun Yeol and Lee Hyeri will seem to continue in the most unexpected way. The two ex-lovers must now share the same management label.
On April 5, multiple Korean media outlets reported that agency of Ryu Jun Yeol, C-JeS Studios had acquired the label that houses Lee Hyeri, Creative Group ING. According to these reports, C-JeS Studios managed to purchase Hyeri’s label for 1.30 billion KRW (approximately 963,000 USD).
But what’s more intriguing about the report is that as of today, the only artist that is actively promoting under Creative Group ING is Lee Hyeri. Therefore, by completing the acquisition, Ryu Jun Yeol agency had basically dominated Hyeri’s future activities under its management.
Despite the initial shock among fans, online communities highlighted that the same owner previously managed both agencies. Therefore, the acquisition more as a merger than a takeover.
Previously, the two agencies functioned as separate management firms, despite sharing several major shareholders. So, this acquisition is set to consolidate their management, allowing for a collaborative artist management approach.
Not only that, but C-JeS Studios also purchased a 51% share in JN Agent, a different entertainment firm, for 1 billion won ($737,757.70 USD). This strategy by C-JeS aims to counteract its recent downturn in performance, following an operating loss of 6.5 billion won last year.
The Two Ex-Lovers Will Operate Under the Same Roof of Management Label
The purchase has also attracted significant media attention due to Ryu Jun Yeol and Hyeri, a former couple, now coming under the umbrella of the same parent company.
They ended their 8-year relationship last year and were recently embroiled in a scandal involving Ryu Joon Yeol’s rumored “transit relationship” with actress Han So Hee, which ended two weeks after it was publicly acknowledged. This has made the acquisition particularly noteworthy, as Ryu Joon Yeol and Hyeri will effectively be managed by the same roof of management label.
So, what happens when the two ex-lovers finally meet later? Will the love they left behind revisit? Or will they become sworn enemies that cannot stand each other? This surely make an exciting new season of Ryu Jun Yeol and Lee Hyeri breakup drama! After all, many Korean netizens are currently rooting for the two to get back together.
