The Complete HIDDEN FACTS & Stories
Here are the complete facts and stories hidden behind the ongoing lawsuit between FIFTY FIFTY members and ATTRAKT, according to SBS “Unanswered Questions”.
1. FIFTY FIFTY Members are Being Gaslighted and Controlled?
Korean media outlet Sports Chosun and IDSN reported that in SBS “Unanswered Questions”, ATTRAKT believed that members of FIFTY FIFTY had become the victims of manipulation and gaslighting.
According to the report, ATTRAKT believed that The Givers CEO Ahn Sung Il had been controlling FIFTY FIFTY members from behind the scenes. ATTRAKT claimed to have borrowed 8 billion KRW to invest and support the FIFTY FIFTY project. However, the company believed that Ahn Sung Il had manipulated the girls into terminating their contract and filing a public lawsuit.
On the contrary, The Givers fully denied the accusations. According to the agency, Ahn Sung Il had done his best to support and nurture the members, but he did no such things as stirring up conflicts between FIFTY FIFTY members and the company.
According to Ahn Sung Il, while they were working on a collaboration with a prominent production company from overseas, ATTRAKT’s representative suddenly changed his position. That is why Ahn Sung Il revised his service contract and withdrew from FIFTY FIFTY’s future activities.
2. FIFTY FIFTY Members Had Been Busy Practicing Everyday
At the same time, Korean media outlet E-Today revealed that members of FIFTY FIFTY had only been busy practicing. They had been busy practicing in the workshop, so they had no idea what had happened behind the project.
An informant revealed to SBS “Unanswered Questions” that FIFTY FIFTY members were not at fault completely. They were busy practicing.
“The kids were not at fault. They only knew singing and dancing.”
the informant.
3. FIFTY FIFTY was not Ahn Sung Il’s Priority
Along with the above statement, the same informant also stated that FIFTY FIFTY had never been the priority of The Givers’ CEO Ahn Sung Il.
In fact, Ahn Sung Il was only using FIFTY FIFTY as a stepping stone. That is because his final goal had always been implementing a music IP business. That is why Ahn Sung Il would initially abandon FIFTY FIFTY because he believed that the group would not have worked out well.
But unlike Ahn Sung Il’s prediction, FIFTY FIFTY soared high in the Kpop music industry immediately after debuting.
“Ahn Sung Il said the group was not his final goal. He stated he was going to do music IP business and that FIFTY FIFTY was never going well, so he was even going to close the business. But then ‘Cupid’ turned out to be successful.”
the informant.
4. ATTRAKT CEO Jeon Hong Joong was NOT Really the ‘Father Figure’
Further in their statement, the informant also revealed that ATTRAKT CEO Jeon Hong Joon was not really the ‘father figure’ the media had portrayed him to be.
According to the informant, the ATTRAKT CEO had never even once visited the members or came to the monthly evaluation. Therefore, they did not understand why the public portrayed the ATTRAKT CEO that way.

5. FIFTY FIFTY Members Were Terrified of ATTRAKT CEO
In line to the informant’s statement, the parents of FIFTY FIFTY members also revealed that the girls had been terrified of ATTRAKT CEO Jeon Hong Joon. They stated that if they didn’t become a singer, they wouldn’t have done it and would never return to the company.
“The girls’ biggest fear was actually about CEO Jeon. All of our children feel the same so I don’t think we can live with this for the next 7 years.”

“They wanted the girls to return, creating a huge wave of public opinion. Now, everyone is telling the girls to return.
This is even scarier, and we were more afraid of how they created this public opinion.”
B’s parent.
“In my opinion, the settlement part is supplementary.
I won’t comment on the other members but one day a member ran out of the agency because she was having a really hard time. At the time, she even had seizures due to panic attacks. She then fainted only to wake up on a breathing machine at the hospital.
There was also CCTV everywhere at the agency. The members had also undergone excessive surveillance and pressure. They did not give the girls proper meals. And when the parents brought food, the company left the side dishes in the living room and told the girls to throw them away in person.
It was really insulting.”

6. Forced to Promote Despite Their Health Conditions
Additionally, lawyers of FIFTY FIFTY revealed to SBS “Unanswered Questions” that not one but two members had been having health issues since before their debut. According to the lawyer, the health issues were only fixable by surgery because, after the surgery, the condition would not become a problem.
However, the agency kept postponing the surgery and asked the members to continue promoting despite their conditions. Until right before the surgery, they controlled the symptoms using medications.

Finally, members of FIFTY FIFTY also sent a handwritten letter to SBS “Unanswered Questions”.
In the letter, the members admitted that they had been having a hard time. However, since they love music and wish to continue promoting, they would continue the fight for the people who had been supporting them.
“We love music. It has been our long-time dream to stand on the stage, and we sincerely want to promote for a long time.
We understand the importance and how precious this time so we are more desperate than anyone else. So even though the constant rumors have been giving us a hard time, we are determined to persevere to repay those people who have been supporting us.”
