South Korean actor Seo In Guk may be starring in an upcoming new historical action drama, “Handwritten” (literal title).
Seo In Guk In Talks to Lead in a New Historical Drama “Handwritten”
On November 3, Korean media outlets reported that “Doom At Your Service” star Seo In Guk received a casting offer as the male lead for a new historical drama, “Handwritten,” and the actor is currently reviewing the proposal.
In response to the reports, Story J Company, Seo In Guk’s agency, stated,
“Seo In Guk has received an offer to appear in “Handwritten,” and he is positively reviewing it.”

Synopsis and Seo In Guk’s Role in New Historical Drama “Handwritten”
Korean drama “Handwritten” is based on a novel of the same name. This drama is a mystery action historical drama set in the Joseon Dynasty. The story centers on a man named Kwon Soo Young, who is thought to be dead. However, it turns out that he is still alive and has lost his memory. In his journey to discover his true identity, he becomes entangled in a power struggle.
Seo In Guk received an offer to play the role of the main character, Kwon Soo Young. If he accepts the offer, it will be his comeback project to historical drama after “The King’s Face” in 2014, where he took the role of Crown Prince of Joseon, Gwanghae. Moreover, it will be his next drama series project after his recent drama “Café Minamdang.”
The upcoming Korean drama “Handwritten” is a new project by Raemongraein. The production company successfully released hit Korean dramas such as “My Sassy Girl” in 2017, “Extraordinary You” in 2019, and “Semantic Error” earlier this year. It is also the production company of the upcoming Korean drama “Reborn Rich,” starring Song Joong Ki, that will premiere this month.
Seo In Guk’s New Movie
In addition to his drama project “Café Minamdang” this year, Seo In Guk is starring in his new movie “Project Wolf Hunting.” The film premiered and became one of six Korean films to be screened at the 2022 Toronto International Film Festival.
In his latest film, Seo In Guk managed to play the role of the main antagonist, Park Jong Do, a very dangerous villain. His role is very different from his previous roles. However, the actor has shown tremendous acting skills in his latest role.
Anticipation is high as to whether the actor, who has successfully played various roles, will accept the role, make a comeback in the upcoming historical drama, and continue to surprise Kdrama fans with his stunning acting performance.
