Business Proposal star Seol In Ah may lead a new drama, Sparkling Watermelon (literal title).
Seol In Ah Possibly Star in New Drama SPARKLING WATERMELON
As reported by various Korean news outlets, actress Seol In Ah is reportedly returning to the small screen with a new Korean drama, Sparkling Watermelon.
In response to the casting reports, a representative from the actress’ agency, Gold Medalist, conveyed that the actress is currently reviewing the offer.
Sparkling Watermelon
The upcoming Korean drama Sparkling Watermelon is a romance fantasy drama with a coming-of-age story. It will depict the story of a boy who leads a double life as a child of deaf adult (coda) model student and a member of a band.
He experiences a time slip via a mysterious musical instrument store and meets his 18-year-old father. As they both establish a friendship, he also meets a mysterious girl and falls in love.
Fan Entertainment will be responsible for the production, while director Song Jung Hyun of When My Love Blooms and Mental Coach Jegal will direct the upcoming drama. Meanwhile, Jin Soo Wan, the writer of popular Kdramas Kill Me, Heal Me, and The Moon Embracing the Sun, will write the script.
However, no official details regarding the drama’s characters, date, and broadcast channel yet.
Seol In Ah New Drama
Seol In Ah ended 2022 well; she won the Best Couple Award at the 2022 SBS Drama Awards. The Business Proposal star Seol In Ah and otherleading actors, Kim Sejeong, Kim Min Gue, and Ahn Hyo Seop, took home the Best Couple Awards.
If she accepts the offer to lead in Sparkling Watermelon, it will be her new drama this year after Oasis, which will premiere next month. Moreover, she may also team up with other young actors, Ryeo Woon, Choi Hyun Wook, and Shin Eun Soo.
The three young actors also received offers for the upcoming drama Sparkling Watermelon. Besides the three young actors, the Alchemy of Souls and The Uncanny Counter star, Yoo Joon Sang, will also be cast in the upcoming drama.
Seol In Ah has started the new year 2023 with a romance fantasy movie, When Our Love Remains As Scent, with Yoon Shi Yoon. The film is currently on screen at cinemas since February 8, 2023.
