Have you ever invested in something—or someone—only to lose everything just when you’re about to reap the result? That’s probably what’s happening to SM Entertainment right now. With the high anticipation revolving around the company’s upcoming girl group, Na Haeun decided to step out, leaving a disheartening empty spot. Hence, not only does it mean that SM new girl group will possibly fail to debut this year, but the future will also remain uncertain for Na Haeun. So, what happened, really? Dive deeper into the discussion in the following report.
SM Entertainment Lost Prodigy Trainee Na Haeun
A brilliant prodigy and promising Kpop idol Na Haeun has reportedly left SM Entertainment.
Korean media outlet Xports News reported last week that Na Haeun had apparently decided to resign from the company.
If you’re new to the Kpop trainee community, Na Haeun, born in 2009, has previously been godly famous as a child dancer and creator. She has repeatedly appeared on TV shows ever since she was young as a “dance prodigy.”
Due to her immense popularity, she then runs a YouTube channel called ‘Awesome Haeun,’ which has over 5 million subscribers.
Following her impressive rise in popularity, Na Haeun then joined SM Entertainment in 2022 and began her preparation to debut with the company’s new girl group. And yet, shortly after SM teased the debut of their new girl group several times, Na Haeun suddenly chose to leave the company instead.
SM New Girl Group Suspectedly FAILED to Debut This Year?
After Na Haeun joined SM Entertainment, the company had been repeatedly teasing the debut of their new girl group. The latest report even stated that the group would comprise approximately 8 members, the second largest after Girls’ Generation’s original lineup.
As it was highly suspected that ‘dance prodigy’ Na Haeun would debut in this new group, Kpop fans’ attention was entirely focused on her. The hype has significantly risen after SM revealed their plans to introduce the new girl group in the second half of this year. Expectations for Na Ha Eun’s inclusion were incredibly high.
But all of a sudden, after 2 years of training with the company, Na Haeun decided to leave SM Entertainment. Therefore, it entirely crushed the possibility of her debut with SM new girl group.
So, does it mean that SM Entertainment will fail to debut their new Kpop girl group this year? While the reasons for Na Haeun’s departure from the company remain a mystery, speculations, and concerns started rising about the future of this project.
After all, when a group debuts with so many members, it will be hard for each of them to shine, completely showcasing their full potential. It’s just like exactly what happened to Ahyeon of BABYMONSTER and former NMIXX member JINI.
Don’t you think so too? Please share your thoughts in the comments. In the meantime, Haeun’s social media started posting actively after her departure from SM.
