U.S.-based Kpop audition
On May 6, American media. The Hollywood Reporter reported SM Entertainment and MGM Worldwide Television Group team up to develop a Kpop audition program in the United States.
The audition program will recruit ‘America’s most talented emerging artists, who are males between 13 to 25 years old. The contestants will fly to Seoul for Kpop boot camp training at the SM campus. There, they will compete in singing, dancing, and styling.
As reported, SM founder Soo-Man Lee and various NCT members will be the judges and mentors for the audition.
To Launch NCT Hollywood
The program they develop aims to launch a new NCT sub-unit. The new sub-unit will be called NCT-Hollywood that will focus the promotions in the United States.
The new Kpop group will have the same concept as SM Entertainment’s NCT by having no fixed limit for members and having fluid membership between sub-units.
