Song Ha Yoon and Donghae Super Junior Will Lead New Exciting Rom-Com Drama “Oh! Youngshim”

On August 24, according to JTBC entertainment news report, a popular Korean animation called “Youngshim” will have a drama version. A Korean artist, Bae Geum Taek, created a comic book series, “Youngshim,” in 1990. Further, Bank Animation made its television animation series in 1990 and aired on KBS. In addition, a novel version was published in 2004.

The series follows the daily life of a teenage girl named Youngshim. She is an innocent yet zany girl who is suffering from princess syndrome. The story also tells about her family, friendship, and travel to unfamiliar places.

She has a boyfriend named Wang Gyeong Tae, who loves her very much and always follows her. However, he is considered ugly and stutters when he speaks. Although she treats him coldly; she shows considerable jealousy when he finds out Gyeong Tae is with another girl.

The upcoming adaptation drama “Oh! Youngshim” will follow Youngshim in her 30s. It will tell about how she spent her puberty in a raging rage. She fell in love with life and love even though no one told her to. Moreover, it will also tell the story of Youngshim and Kyung-Tae Wang.

“Oh! Youngshim” is the comeback drama of Donghae since his last play as a cameo in the Chinese drama “Li Da Bao’s Ordinary Days” (2017). Meanwhile, actress Song Hayoon who is famous for her play in “Fight for My Way,” the upcoming rom-com drama, will be her second project in 2022 after “History of Losers” along with Jo Byeong Gyu.

In the upcoming drama, Song Ha Yoon will play the role of Youngshim. Meanwhile, Lee Donghae takes the male lead of Wang Gyeong Tae. Since it’s a romantic-comedy drama, expectations are high for Donghae and Song Ha Yoon’s chemistry.

The Great Show production company will produce “Oh! Youngshim.” It is a production company that also made “Navillera.” According to the report, the filming has started and will air in 2023.
