Song Hye Kyo Photos During Press Conference of The Glory Korean Drama Are REMOVED
Netflix’s original The Glory starring Song Hye Kyo has become a hot topic among Korean drama enthusiasts. The collaboration between the extraordinary storyline from writer Kim Eun Sook, topped with Song Hye Kyo first-class acting performance, especially in melodrama, has put The Glory Korean drama at a whole different level even before its premiere.
However, no matter how massive the anticipation, The Glory new Korean drama must face controversy regarding Song Hye Kyo photo during their press conference.
On December 22, Korean media reported a controversy regarding Song Hye Kyo photos during the press conference of her new Korean drama, The Glory. According to the report, several posts related to The Glory Korean drama in the Korean online community, The Qoo, were suddenly suspended per requests from Netflix’s production crew of The Glory.
Apparently, the removed posts contained the on-site photos of The Glory previous press conference, which had triggered some comments from Korean netizens.
Speculations About Song Hye Kyo Agency Requested the Removal Due to Controversy – What Happened?
Although there has been no official confirmation from Netflix or the online community, the photo removal triggered various speculations from Korean netizens.
According to Nate news, Korean netizens speculated that the photo removal might be due to the ongoing controversy. Previously, the Korean online community discussed how Song Hye Kyo seemed to have faced a strong wave of time. In several photos of Netflix’s new Korean drama The Glory press conference, Song Hye Kyo showed signs of aging that caught the eye of Korean netizens. They then debated over “The Goddess” title that Song Hye Kyo received over the years.
Not only had Netflix removed some press conference photos, they also deleted the video containing the Christmas updates from the production team of The Glory Korean drama. Knowing that it was not the first time Song Hye Kyo’s agency asked for photo removals, these actions convinced the Korean netizens even more.
Agency Statement Regarding Removal of The Glory New Korean Drama Photo & Video
Following the wild speculations from Korean netizens regarding the removal, Netflix released their official statement.
On December 22, Netflix delivered its statements to various Korean media. According to Netflix, it was not true that Song Hye Kyo’s agency requested the photo removal.
Instead, Netflix originally posted the video to express their gratitude for the massive love towards the Korean content this year. However, they decided to remove the video after realizing that the uploaded version did not fit the original purpose. That is because The Glory is an unreleased drama, so it wasn’t appropriate to fit the project into the video.
“The video was produced to express gratitude for K-content that had received great love this year. We were supposed to focus on works released in 2022. The version was deleted because it did not fit the purpose. Song Hye Kyo had nothing to do with the process.”

At the same time, Netflix also explained that they had to remove some of the posters due to miscommunications with the production team. During the phrasal editing process, Netflix accidentally uploaded the non-final version of the photos. That is why they removed the photos and replaced with the new ones instead.
“During the trimming and phrasal editing process, the non-final version was uploaded in while sending it back and forth. Therefore, we decided to take down and repost the photos.”
