Global beverage giant Starbucks will soon collaborate with international K-pop sensation, BLACKPINK. In its 2023 collections, Starbucks plans to release a line of BLACKPINK-inspired drinks, tumbler, and other merchandise.

Starbucks Will Reportedly Collaborate with BLACKPINK for New Collections 2023

BLINKs, prepare yourself for a whole new surprise from the legendary beverage brand Starbucks! Coming soon is Starbucks’s brand-new 2023 collaboration with Kpop diva BLACKPINK.

On July 2, Korean media outlet Maeil Business Daily exclusively reported that Starbucks would launch a 2023 collaborative project with BLACKPINK. This collaboration is part of their strategy to maximize customer engagement.

Considering that BLACKPINK has a powerful fandom across the globe, Starbucks is hoping to reach maximum capability in attracting worldwide customers. Therefore, the global beverage brand is planning to incorporate BLACKPINK’s image and logo into its products.

Starbucks drinks, tumbler, and other items will soon feature BLACKPINK’s iconic black and pink color scheme.

Merchandise Collaboration: Drinks, Tumblers, and More Items!

According to the MBD report, Starbucks Asia Pacific stated on July 2 that they’re planning to release the 2023 collections of BLACKPINK merchandise. This collection includes Starbucks x BLACKPINK drinks, tumbler, keychains, and pouches featuring BLACKPINK’s iconic black and pink colors and its logo.

Starbucks Asia Pacific further revealed their plans to create a viral collab similar to what they had accomplished with the previous BTS collab.

Previously, Starbucks managed to create a new trend by releasing BTS food, beverages, and merchandise collection in 2023. At the time, the global beverage company managed to sell out all items, even though they were limited to one purchase per person.

An industry insider revealed to the media that the Starbucks x BLACKPINK 2023 collection will be similar to the ones of BTS.

This is not the first time Starbucks is collaborating with BLACKPINK.

In 2021, the global beverage franchise released the same projects for its Thailand branch stores. At the time, Starbucks released various drinks, tumbler collections, keychains, pouches, badges, and eco bags. The Thailand market responded so enthusiastically to the collaboration that they nearly ‘raided’ the store to purchase these items.

Finally, fans in South Korea expressed their excitement about this collaboration via online community, TheQoo.

Wikitree reported that as soon as the news hit the internet, fans filled the online community forum with messages like, “I want to buy them all!” or “Please release it right away!” and “I want them already!”.

Unfortunately, as of today, this collection will reportedly be available in South Korea only. Therefore, international fans may have to visit Starbucks stores in South Korea to obtain these BLACKPINK 2023 drinks and tumbler collections.
