On June 13, Newsen reported a possibility of Tale of the Nine-Tailed drama returning with another thrilling season. According to the report, the producers of Tale of the Nine-Tailed, along with tvN, confirmed their intentions to work on another season of the drama. However, apparently nothing has been set in stone just yet.

Will The Original Cast Return with a New Story?

Previously when the production team first announced the continuation of this wonderful series, they already mentioned plans that Tale of the Nine-Tailed will return for 2 exciting seasons.

Season 2, Tale of the Nine-Tailed 1938, focused more on the brothers’ heroic adventure during the Japanese colonial era. Meanwhile, Tale of the Nine-Tailed Season 3 will take the viewers even further back to the past in the era of the Joseon dynasty.

Then, near its conclusion, the drama surprises the audience with an after-credit scene. After the credits and thank-you messages end, Season 2 presents a short animated scene of Lee Yeon running from the people chasing him.

And most importantly, just as once mentioned in the original plans, the scene happened in the Joseon era.
