“The Veil” Actress Kim Ji Eun Undergoing Self-Quarantine Following Positive Test Of COVID-19, Agency Confirmed

MBC “The Veil” actress Kim Ji Eun has tested positive for COVID-19 and will be undergoing self-quarantine, and her agency has confirmed the news.

Actress Kim Ji Eun Reported Positive of COVID-19 and Going into Self-Quarantine

Bad news came from the MBC blockbuster drama “The Veil”, as its actress Kim Ji Eun has reported positive of COVID-19 and will be going into self-quarantine.

Kim Ji Eun Previously Tested Negative

On August 19, the HB Entertainment agency announced that Kim Ji Eun tested positive for COVID-19 after crossing paths with a confirmed COVID-19 case at a meal. Even though Kim Ji Eun received negative results immediately after, on August 17, she went into self-quarantine following the government’s guidelines. Unfortunately, she then started feeling the symptoms and tested positive.

“Kim Ji Eun has tested positive for COVID-19 today. After she finished filming her drama on August 11, she attended a meal at which she crossed paths with a confirmed COVID-19 case. Therefore, she went to get tested right away and received a negative test result on August 17. Nevertheless, in accordance with the disease control guidelines, she went into self-quarantine. After feeling symptoms of ill health, she was tested again and received a positive test result. She will now enter a treatment facility.”

All Cast and Crew of “The Veil” Will Get COVID-19 Test

Following the positive COVID-19 report, “The Veil” production team mentioned that all cast and crew involved in the drama production would receive tests even though none of them are classified as close contact.

“Even though the disease control authorities have not classified any of our cast and crew as a close contact, we have advised all the actors and production crew members to receive testing just in case. Our entire filming schedule has been conducted with weekly testing for COVID-19. We have completed a large portion of filming. Indeed, there might be alterations to the filming schedule, but it won’t really impact the broadcasting schedule. After all, Kim Ji Eun’s health is our top concern.”
