The Korean Business Research Institute has announced the list of the most popular singers in Korea for this month. Below, you will find the Top 100 Korean Singer Brand Reputation Rankings for May 2023.
Lim Young Woong Tops Korean Singer Brand Reputation Rankings in May 2023
For May 2023, the Korean singer brand reputation rankings were determined by analyzing singers’ consumer participation, media coverage, interaction, and community awareness values. This analysis used singer brands’ big data collected from April 27 to May 27, 2023. However, the numbers indicate a decrease of 1.26 percent compared to the 125,572,890 singer brand data collected in April.
As a result, the famous Korean trot singer Lim Young Woong has reclaimed the number one spot from NewJeans. Lim Young Woong, who has established a strong and loyal fan base, secured the top position on this month’s list with a brand value of 9,343,800, marking a 16.63 percent increase since last month.
Meanwhile, BTS has retained the No. 2 position as the group members have maintained good communication with their fans despite engaging in individual activities. In May, BTS’ brand value reached 8,146,544, indicating a 7.30 percent decrease compared to April.
SEVENTEEN, who made a successful comeback with their new mini-album FML and captivating Super MV, climbed to No. 3. The group achieved a remarkable brand value of 6,166,110, marking a staggering 134.78 percent increase since last month.
BLACKPINK, who continued their world tour and solidified their status as a global icon, maintained their position at No. 4 this month. However, their brand value experienced a 33.64 percent decline, reaching 5,267,916.
Finally, NewJeans dropped to the No. 5 position this month. The hip genre trendsetter completed the top five most popular Korean singers with a brand value of 5,177,062. This marks a decrease of 43.63 percent compared to the previous month.
