NewJeans Hits No. 1 on TOP 100 Korean Star Brand Reputation Rankings in January 2023

Kpop girl group NewJeans has dominated this month’s brand reputation rankings, including the top 100 Korean star brand reputation rankings in January 2023, which consist of Korean entertainers, actors, sports figures, singers, and idols.

Rookie Girl Group NewJeans Leads Korean Star Brand Reputation Rankings in January 2023

On January 29, the Korean Business Research Institute announced January’s most popular Korean stars. For the list, the institute has analyzed 238,303,124 Korean star big data from December 29, 2022, to January 29, 2023. Compared to 232,979,812 star big data in December, it increased by 2.28 percent.

The rookie girl group, NewJeans, has ended 2022 on a high note by winning their first Daesang and earning their first Perfect All Kill (PAK) in less than a year of debut.

Further, the quintet also started 2023 with extraordinary achievements. They joined BTS and BLACKPINK in Billboard Hot 100 with multiple entry songs, OMG and Ditto.

Moreover, according to the Album Chart on Circle Chart, the group’s first single album OMG has sold 1,013,462 copies as of January 27. These achievements made them the youngest and fastest Kpop group that achieved a million-selling album as well as the first and only 4th gen group that simultaneously entered the Billboard HOT 100 with multiple tracks.

Furthermore, the group also dominated the brand reputation rankings in January 2023, including the brand reputation rankings for Kpop girl groups, individual Kpop girl group members, Korean singers, Idol groups, Korean advertisement models, and Korean stars.

The rookie girl group, NewJeans, took first place on the Korean star brand reputation rankings surpassing their sunbaes in the Kpop music industry, such as BTS, Blackpink, IU, and more. The girl group earned a brand value of 8,917,773; it increased by 32.59 percent since last month.

BTS remained in second place with a brand value of 7,527,175 this month. Meanwhile, the Korean trot singer climbed to third place and earned a brand value of 7,187,117 this month.

Came in fourth place, IU’s brand value increased by 8.42 percent from 6,140,176 in December 2022 to 6,657,078 in January 2023. And concluded the top five list this month, there was BLACKPINK with a brand value of 5,913,166 for this month.
